If we beat Ottawa, do we take over 6th due to less losses? - Tee-Dot
We won't have to worry about the answer to that. |

he made 4 or 5 difficult saves in both those games.. those get by him.. the leafs lose
a goalie shouldnt have to stand on his head 15 shots / game - Dozzer
A bit of an exaggeration
We beat WPG 4-0 & NYI 3-0 |

Really tho, let's not care about what Ottawa's been doing. The Leafs have played some strong hockey leading up to and coming out of the break. If they can maintain that same effort and play, we'll win more games than we'll lose moving forward. |

your point? do you really think the leafs score 4 and 3 if gus lets in goals? i would bet money they dont. it would sway momentum and take it away from the leafs
all it takes is one goal to go in and the entire game could change from that point on |

anderson is burning out.. i firmyly believe it.. if he plays vs the isles the leafs game will be game 50 for him
he's getting too much ice time.. murray needs to find himself a competent back up and soon |

the point i am making is we are drawing them at the right time.. and i think anderson is coming down to earth some.. i firmly believe he is seeing too much ice time
but you are right.. the leafs need to worry about themselves and themselves only.. hopefully wilson doesnt play rosehill again.. that 4th line looked real good last night |

The best we've seen of Reimer is far better than the best we've seen from Gusti.
Plus Gus is a pending UFA. With Scrivens having looked very good in the short time he was up with the big club, and Rynass and Owuya in the wings, I highly doubt BB spends any considerable money on Gus this off season, what with Grabs and Kuli needing new deals. - AngryWhiteMale
Gus has been good at his best, but:
1) I think Reimer's best at the high end of his potential is better than Gustavsson's.
2) Reimer is more likely to reach that potential
3) I'm less concerned about what each can do at his best as what each does when they're playing at their average. Gus, despite the ability to go on the odd hot streak, shows way too many moments of mediocrity.
Throw out the highs and lows from each goalie's body of work, and Reimer's median performance is better than Gustavsson's over their careers.

Serious question, considering how much respect Cherry had for Wilson's uncle, and seemed to like his father, what's his issue with Ron? Like real issue? |

totally agree.
As much a difference as Maclean's made, and how guys have fit into their roles on that team, they have had their best post-lockout goaltending this season. He's probably personally responsible for an extra 5-10 pts as he's kept them in games they don't deserve.
He'll burnout, as the breathing space they earned will be eaten by teams making up games in hand, as it'll force Maclean to continue riding Andersson.
Granted, He's used to playing a lot of games, but he is in his mid 30s, and he may get them to the post-season, but after that there might not be much left in the tank |

His performance as a coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs over the past 3 seasons.

yup, this is exactly how i feel.. at the pace he's on he will end up playing 74-75 games of 82
thats ridiculous.. maclean has to figure out what to do here because he cant ride a goalie like that without burning him out.. especially at anderson's age as you said
now he did play 71 games for colorado is 09-10 and got them into 8th but they were eliminated by SJ 4-2 in the first round so yeah, just like you said.. make it to the playoffs but have nothing left to go on |

In all fairness the shutouts vs. WPG and NYI were pretty easy and shouldn't have yeiled more than 1 goal against considering the workload.
The buffalo shutout required some timely saves, but nothing truly heroic - AngryWhiteMale
Now his shutouts weren't "good enough shutouts"... |

After the year Bozak had, Burke had to do something to address the C position. Just be thankful it's a two year deal and nothing crazy like Leino. - Domidives
I know I know. Heès good and bad and we all knew that Bozak just had a sophomore meltdown and would come good and if they push him to work harder then we wonèt need to trade until summer. Heès easily a 60-70 points player if he works on his game expecially faceoffs and finishing since we already know he can pass the puck. But I hope he doesnèt sign TC for a lower wage next year, let him walk, he sure is contributing now and then but we need consistency and speed from our centres too. |

We would pass with having less games played, then if that is tied it is greater ROWs (which we have them on as well). |

Hey, how's it going everyone?
Hopefully better than my poopacular week. How's this for poopty
The fiance, Blair, has Strep Throat.
Monday night the van was acting up. The battery light was coming on and I had almost NO power. I thought it was just from the cold, but then it did it again Tuesday night and Wednesday night. So we took a look at it and the general consensus between my dad, friend, and dad's friends is that the alternator is about to go...few hundred bucks I don't have.
Then last night Blair's macbook laptop fell off the counter and smashed and is unrecognizable.
Then for the last little bit her cell phone had been acting up and all of the sudden it went kaputz and of course isn't under warranty anymore and there's still 1 year left on her contract and we can't afford a new cell phone.
Then last night I drove home from work and saw that the snow plow guy didn't come and plow our apartment parking lot so I couldn't park in my spot because the snow was up to my bumper. So I parked on the road assuming he'd come soon since it had stopped snowing a few hours prior to it. Well, around midnight, he hadn't come yet. So we went to bed. Got woken up by the cat this morning, went into the kitchen, looked out the window, and my van is no longer sitting on the road. So I FREAK and walk to the police station which is just up the street. Turns out it was towed for being left on the street over night. Cost me $129.75 to get it back...money I DO NOT HAVE to spend on that. I just got paid today but it'll be barely enough to cover bills and groceries as it is since Blair hasn't been getting a lot of hours at work. So I'm going to try and get the landlord to reimburse me since it's their responsibility to have the place plowed and I got towed because I couldn't park there. But chances are he'll refuse since he's a bit of a slum lord.
Then I get into work today and everything's going alright. Pre-record a bit about American Idol using a phone call interview with my grandmother (our American Idol Expert). I start editing the call and the computer restarts. So I have to call her back and re-do. So this time I save it before I do any editing, and it's a good thing I did, because the computer restarted itself 3 more times. I finally get it finished and have to pre-record a show for another station. Start doing that and the program was causing me problems in BOTH studios I tried to use. It would start recording than after about 20 seconds it would just stop on it's own. Eventually it worked.
Oh, and I still haven't eaten lunch. |

The reason that Clarke went after Spacek hapnened a little bit earlier than the video shows. Spacek ... in fine tradition now being continued by P.K Subban slew foots MacArthur along the boards. MacArthur took the cheap shot and decided that it was time to "open a can of whoop ass" on Mr "what did I do" Spacek. A beautiful thing. - BorjeFan4Ever
I was refering to the low hit and slew foot on the boards by Spacek that CMac took exception to and did a pretty good job on Spacek, too bad he broke his arm as he fell, you donèt want to see that happen to anyone! |
