This may be an unpopular opinion, but since the team got healthy they have looked like a playoff caliber team. The defense has been great. If they could score some goals instead of clanging the pipes every game they'd look even better. They are too far gone for the playoffs though.

No one expected us to make it in in 99 either and we had a simular team.Low on o great d and Hasik. Can Miller play like Hasik our d played lights out the last few games.

Playoff caliber, maybe.

Championship caliber? Not a chance.

Team still needs a significant overhaul.

No comparison with '99.

That team was built to grind tight checking games out.

This team would get waxed ine a series by the Bruins, Flyers, Penguins etc.

It's a moot point. They are too many points behind with too many teams to pass.

Well I agree. But most everyone in here, myself included thought this team was one of the worst in the league. I now am starting to believe the injuries were a larger issue than most of us thought. The predicament is that if they play well and finish 3 points out of 8th they are worse off than if they stink and get a top 5 pick.

07/08

Buffalo vs Tampa

Down 4-1 going into the 3rd

They score 6 in the 3rd. Vanek with a natural hat trick

Why? Because they actually competed for 3 consecutive games?

Every team in the league, save Columbus, has had a stretch of 3 decent games during the season.

If they can sustain this for 15 - 20 games, maybe I'll start to buy the injury excuse. Maybe.

Ruff just called out Roy! Luv it

It's time to move Stafford/Roy, great effort tonight without either one really playing.

Luv the Gerbe, Ennis and Kassian line! Leave it alone

No chance. Really?? who would want them? At this point we could wrap up Staff,Roy,Ennis, and Weber and would be lucky to get a voucher for a free flight to Tahiti.
