he was just above the hashmarks to bryz's left. sure it's not between the hashmarks but damn, if that's not the slot...

but whatever. thornburn's goal was payback for this, i guess:

- OrangeBlack27

True. I didn't mean he was at the blueline, I just meant he wasn't between the hashmarks like you mention.

It was a good shot, one that a bunch of goaltenders eat up.

One of my coworkers just got this for her boys' room (which is being redone in an all Flyers theme). Her husband thinks it's ridiculous to spend this much on a lighting fixture. I agree. And yet. It is SO COOL.

That's fantastic!

I wonder if you can control the score/clock.

Thorburn shot the puck from right above the Flyers left faceoff dot, and inside of that dot. The shot came from a prime scoring area.
- MJL

Heck of a shot. Hard to believe that was his first goal in 59 games or something like that.

I love how we keep losing to these non-NHL caliber teams.

I'm more worried about Bryz getting on track than the team winning games, right now.

Will be interesting how Laviolette uses the goalies the next three games. I think Bryz gets the start tomorrow, Bob will get the Devils game Saturday, and Bryz Sunday at MSG.

eh, it was pretty much bar down and bryz couldn't really challenge him considering our coverage was a mess there.

He can have a .959 save%. If the team doesn't win, it means poop.

the kind of shot that we'd say was a great goal if a Flyer had scored it.

I haven't watched the replay. Who were the culprits on the defensive zone breakdown on that goal?

Sort of like the near-goal by Jagr in the third, that cracked off of the crossbar.

Rookie mistake. It happens. Have to find a way to score 2 goals against the Jets.

I saw the highlights on the NHL network, he had zero chance on most of them. Wild players parked in the slot beating him with snipes.
- PLindbergh31

holy crap, that was one of the worst losses at home i've seen in a while. up 4-1 with 10 mins to go in the third and lose in regulation on a softy.

The minus players are Bourdon, Carle, Read, Jagr, and Schenn.

Was at the game last night. There was an inordinate amount of fans who were screaming for the Flyers to shoot the puck as soon as it touched their stick. They appear to have no concept of a team setting up for the powerplay. Worst offense was Jagr in the corner boards with his back turned to the Jets goalie, and some idiot screamed for him to shoot it.....

Terrible loss. The fact the Wild were able to score 4 goals against the Preds is a shocker to me. I will be ecstatic if the Flyers score 4 on Thursday night.

Pretty tough not to do when you have, what, 6-8 in the lineup right now.

Three rookies, the inept Matt Carle and One-Way Jagr. Of course Thorburn scored.
