The Thrashers/Jets have beaten the Flyers from pillar to post the last two years. And beaten them every which way from Sunday. 1-0, 9-8, shootout.

Absolutely pathetic that they did it without Kane and Byfuglien their two best players last night.

I read this in the voice of a drunk and surly Steve Coates.

the pass he made to hartnell when he was cutting to the net was pretty incredible, but overall, yeah, he was forcing too much last night. when he does that, it seems to affect his defensive game as well. he needs to get a goal and get it off his mind.
- OrangeBlack27

agreed on the pass. he had a nice moment or two...but he made poor decisions with the puck all night.

2 points back with a game in hand. We are relevant again!

You have to be disgusted with the Goligoski for James Neal trade. Pens got raped by the Stars. Neal has been a complete bust. Just because he's scoring goals with a broken foot means nothing!

What was your level of shock when the Schenn goal didn't hold up as the game winner last night? I was stunned.

Steven Stamkos- 32 Goals on 165 Shots... 19.4%
Jonathan Toews- 27 Goals on 153 Shots... 17.6%
Phil Kessel- 26 goals on 153 Shots... 15.0

Thats 3 of the top 5 scorers. I would say two of them I consider snipers, with Steven Stamkos being the definition of a sniper. The lowest shoot % of his career is better than Carter's. Even the other two guys Neal and Malkin have at or BETTER shooting percentages. And none of these include miss shots. I'd be shocked in Ovechkin and Carter didn't lead the league in the last 5 years under the title of "Shot that should have never been taken."

- Flyers1218

When you have the shot of Ovechkin and Carter, no such thing as a bad shot taken. Carter is a sniper in my opinion. If you disagree, that's fine. I know what a sniper is. And I'm not really interested in getting into an indepth discussion on Carter any further. He is no longer a Flyer. Lot's more important things to discuss about the current team, in my opinion.

That how I feel about that trade . . . . . . . . . if I were a Dallas Star fan! THey just signed him to a 4.6 million per year for 4 years.

We usually end up in 4th place and I am okay with that. So we have a deal?

JVR has a similar contract. He will significantly outperform Neal the next 4 years. Take it to the bank.

JVR will outperform Neal?

The deal I was referring to was Goligoski's deal. Neal is a RFA this summer, he will get 5+ per year.

i couldn't see who it was when he scored - and don't know a thing about him - but when i saw the celebration i turned to nastyflyergirl and said "guarantee that's his first goal of the season. sadly i was right. and truthfully, i thought the goal wasn't great. nice shot, but i want to see bryz make that stop. he had an excellent game though.

My mistake. I thought you meant the Pens signed Neal to a 4 year contract at 4.6 per.
