Three best up and coming back-ups, soon to be regular starters for somebody. Pretty crazy how close they are stats wise right now.

31 Tuukka Rask BOS GS=17 W=11 L=5 OT=2 GAA=1.82 SV%=.938 SO=3

32 Cory Schneider VAN GS=17 W=11 L=5 OT=0 GAA=2.28 SV%=.928 SO=2

33 Sergei Bobrovsky PHI GS=16 W=11 L=4 OT=1 GAA=2.42 SV%=.919 SO=0

2.42 isn't that close to 1.82, but the w-l-t record is almost identical...and in the end, that's what matters.

i'd say rask/schneider are further along. in another 2 years bob will rocking it, somewhere else sadly.

The Flyers beat him in the biggest shootout of Lundqvist's career. So that has to be considered. I'm sure Lundqvist would give a bunch of his shootout wins to get that one back. He gave up 2 goals on 3 shots.

Agreed. Schneider had more AHL time than Bob. Bob's been learning on the fly.

Canucks have done well bringing their young guys along since Gillis took over.

Yeah. A far cry from the first 3 they trotted out tonight. Was Gaborik injured back then? Even on the Rangers?

He was really struggling back then iirc. Fonzie probably had no faith.

I was just about to mention that. Flyers won that shootout because Shelley was on the Rags bench. His ineptitude rubbed off on the rest of the Rags.

Yep. And Christansen had a bigtime shootout % I believe. Parenteau was 2-2 at the time (made it 3-3) and Jokinen I have no clue what he was thinking. He built up a head of steam tho...

5-hole. If I was a shooter I would almost never try that. Very little margin of error. Majority of times a shooter goes 5-hole, he clanks the puck of the pillows.

How the hell did Dubinsky get to LA from Buffalo in 30 minutes? Concord?

Never happen. I don't even remember a Flyers/Rangers game recently where Lundqvist didn't start. Lundqvist had started 32 straight against the Devils prior to last night. I think it would be something similar against the Flyers, unless he missed a game due to injury.
- PLindbergh31

No, I think we've had quite a few against both Rangers backups and Devils backups. And they stoned us. It's weird.

Yep. As the estute Moat pointed out, Valliquette started a few and actually had two shutouts.

That's one instance where it was a good try for Briere to go 5-hole. End of the period on choppy ice, on an outdoor rink. I bet he was worried to try and deek, and lose control of the puck and not get a shot off.
