They were swarming more than the shot count in OT would indicate.
- MrBuzzcut

Yep. They dominated the OT. That loss last night really surprised me, Flyers had been embarrassed by the Jets twice already this year, and Winnipeg was without Kane and Byfuglien. I'm really shocked they lost that game.

Crazy thought.

Jake Voracek has been fantastic and it's not like we're struggling scoring but Carter's struggles to stay healthy aside this season, I look towards what he's done here the past 6 seasons. If the Jackets were willing, I would send Voracek back to the Jackets in a heartbeat for Carter just to have a big center who can win faceoffs and a guy who shoots first.

They have good system in place. Forwards backcheck well and the defenseman have outlets most of the time.

Only if Carter agrees to score goals by the bushel with a broken foot like James Neal does.

I'm shocked at the success Detroit has enjoyed over the last 15 years. To think they can accomplish all they have without an enforcer.

They're still surviving on the luck of how Zetterberg and Datsyuk turned out. We'll see where they are in five years.

The Flyers future is bright but we don't have a serious long term answer for pure goal scorers. Jagr is the only player on this team who's know as a sniper on this team. Everyone can score but none of them are known for their dangerous shot outside of Jagr.

If I was a Wings fan, I wouldn't care if they had 5 straight 60 point seasons at this point. As long as Holland is in place, with Babcock the Wings will be good.

The only way I upgrade at forward is if its for a star forward that shoots first and thinks pass second. In other words... from what is available... Nash, Iginla, or Ryan. Anything less, and I would rather stick with what we have.

But yes, I think we need to upgrade defense too. Maybe that deal between ANA and TOR and Philly are still going on.

To Toronto:
Voracek, Philly 2

To Philly:
Ryan, L.Schenn

To Ana:
JVR, Toronto 1, Philly 1

- RooNosHockey

So Toronto gives up Schenn and their 1st for Voracek and our 2nd?

Hartnell is the Flyers most consistent goal scorer right now. Giroux will score more when he learns to be a little more unselfish. Goal scoring isn't an issue when the Flyers have their lineup in tact, preventing goals is the much bigger issue.
