Homer is pretty much spot on with this argument. Hes a bottom 6 energy player. Like most bottom 6 players around the league he has to do very little. Hit-defend-try to fight- throw a puck at the net when you can.....whatever. He isn't the problem and isn't what ANYONE should even talk about right now.

When our bottom 6 is getting more ice time then our top guys, we have a problem. Ellis, Kaleta Mccormick should be noplace near the ice with the game on the line however, Lindy does not agree.

He's been in a doghouse worse than Afinogenov and Sanderson. He barely plays and his confidence is shot likely (speculating) because he keeps wondering how he started on the 1st line and now is on the 4th line. For the record, he still has more goals than, well, anyone not named Vanek or Pominville.

Its not lindy, its the lazy uninspired play that the team puts out that makes a coach choose perhaps a bottom 6 player over someone like Adam,Roy,Leino,Boyes,...

Unfortunately Ellis isn't an NHL player. He is what he is. An AHL player playing in the NHL because the team he plays for wasn't built properly. That in and of its self is a problem. So he does become part of the problem. No cup contending team has Ellis in their starting 12 consistantly. He's a depth forward for one's AHL team and shouldn't even be on the radar for a call up. Those are facts. Sorry if you can't see that.

As of late no. But if I was I dont keep a stop watch handy and time each individuals time on the ice. Its easy to just say "oh god why is kaleta out there" when the team is down a goal but if you are calling for Lindy to leave because of something like giving the bottom 6 too much time you should have the numbers handy to back ya up. Could be helpful.
