Forget it KB.
Now they'll argue that hes improved. Or that he has in fact scored abit in the farm.
And his numbers say he deserves a shot Etc. Etc. Its a waste of time.
Its all just semantics.

Cornet belongs in the farm and is a career minor leaguer.
He'll do nothing of real value because hes not skilled enough for the show, get sent back, And that'll be that.

'Multiple times.' Earlier you said maybe 3...don't make it sound like you're in the OKC pressbox every night.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Cornet is going to score 50 goals in the NHL or even have an NHL career. But you sitting behind your keyboard guaranteeing his failure because you saw him 3 times is a little ridiculous. Pair that with your argument that he shouldn't get a chance because of his draft pedigree, makes you sound ignorant and arrogant.

I said 3 earlier, and there I said a number of times a year, and nowhere did I say 'multiple'. You pick apart everything others say to try to prove your point which likely points toward either a self-confidence issue in yourself or some latent homosexuality.

Why don't you watch the game and let me know what you think tomorrow.

It's like arguing with a woman. "Hey he scored 20 times he belongs in the NHL, give him a shot".

One of the things I love about Bucky4Life is the artistic license he takes with analzying my blogs. Case in point: I have mentioned being very high on Pitlick as a prospect, and said he'd be an EVENUTAL 2nd center for the Oilers. Where B4L gets the "you said he'd be the #2 center this season" is taken completely out of context.

But all of that being said, went I left for the one meeting I had to attend, I had 70 or so comments. I come back now and there are over 150, mostly thanks to Bucky. So thanks, guy! Your support means the world to me.

With respect to Cornet, why not give him a shot for a few games? I remember hearing the whole time Lucky Luc was a LA King how he was a terrible skater and bad playmaker...yet Robitaille had a brilliant offensive career in the NHL and was extremely consistent throughout.

I'm not saying Cornet is the next Robitaille. I'm saying you'll never know until you play him. Since the Oilers aren't going anywhere near the playoffs this season, they might as well try kids from the farm out one-by-one, just to see what happens when they play at the NHL level. You never know...Pitlick might get the 2nd line center job yet this season.

Robitaille also put up almost 200 points in junior. Cornet isn't even on this team's radar for the future. I'd venture to say that he's being called up simply to leave the real future of the team in the AHL to continue winning and drive towards the playoffs and to give the guy a cookie for having a decent AHL season.

If I had the time I'd dig it up but I'm 95% sure in one of your hourly mock-lineups this summer you had Pitlick penciled in on the 2nd line. But you also had Marincin in the NHL too so its not like I take you seriously.

Touche'.

I dont believe every player who happens to be playing well in the Ahl deserves a call up.

Id rather a guy whos actually gonna be part of our future long term getting a shot, over a player with less potential, that happens to have a few more points presently.
Even one who doesnt project to be a scoring top 6 player.

Plus 1.

I dont neccasarily agree with this line of thought from tambs and co.
But
We've seen how a kids development can be stunted getting called up too quickly.
Not to mention the oil are goin nowhere

i still do not understand how you can compare him with alex giroux, hes 21 and just turned pro...and how about that assist? i guessthat was his lack of heart behined the net keeping the puck alive before the goal...moron...lol...not saying hes amazing, just cant believe that you can assume a players career like that id hate to see what you thought of MAF when he stunk it up in his first yr, or how about hemsky in his first few seasons..

Next Clouts blog will have him penciled back into the rebuild for the tenure of his contract as the third line center.

Finally.

I didn't really get it either. I've never seen a poster on this site more certain about something that had no warrant what so ever, even as a personal opinion.
