But it's still good business to compare trades after the player is drafted and plays one or two years...If the Bruins would have botched up those draft picks what do you think the tone of discussion would be? Also, to get a seventh round pick you won't be trading the likes of anyone very good to being with...

sure seguin got a cup already but why doesn't anyone ever bring up the playoffs before his arrival when the one thing boston could've used desperately was a game changing sniper. maybe then the bruins would've got past the flyers in that humiliating series and maybe have had 2 cups by now... bruins might have won the deal but you have to wonder if burke stole a cup opportunity from boston. just a thought. hold the hate guys

I would agree, but for those comparing assets lost in the Kessel deal, tend to ignore the assets BB got back in the Kabby deal.

We have had 3 players from those 2 transactions playing in the pros. that is a plus for me.. I don't think much of Knight really...Hamilton looks like he will be a stud D man someday..but until then he is just a prospect

I am sure lottery pick was not in his mind when he made the deal, however it's long over now. Kessel is becoming the player we hoped for and has gotten better each season. I have no complaints about that deal..Seguin is and will be a nice player for Boston for years..but Kessel is doing all and more
