Good move?
Seguin is/will a better all around player. He's a centerman which are more important to team success and than add in Dougie Hamilton.......The best defenseman in junior hockey???????? - Boinker

Didn't Suter say within the past week that he doesn't expect to sign an extension before the deadline? - Jeffmt
What is your point? Does FA start on Feb. 28th? Oh wait it doesn't start until July 1st, so the Preds could re-sign him after the deadline. Suter is not going anywhere if the Preds continue to play the way they are playing, unless someone massivly overpays for him. Plus, Suter only said he didn't want to sign before the deadline because he wanted Poile to focus on adding a couple pieces that would help the Preds in the playoffs. |

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read somewhere that a ton of teams are losing money and they wanted to bring the salaries down in the next CBA. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time - Vukota
That's the NHL problem, revenues are up again but many teams lose money because a handful of teams are profitable. 3 of those make so much money that it screws up any calculation league wide. You can't ask the Leafs/Habs/NYR to fund at least 10 teams so they can survive. It's the only league with a cap that has this problem. They have no idea how to fix it.
Lower the cap is a solution but the players will never accept another rollback. Profit sharing doesn't work because you have 3-4 teams really sharing their profits with the majority.
Under the current system, the revenues are up, mostly due to the new TV deal in the US and the Trashers moving to Winnipeg. |

We don't want luck...Habs need to suck big time until the trade deadline to make sure PG doesn't think Habs are buyers - Symba007
I really want Montreal to pick up their play for two reasons.
#1. I don't want them to get a top 10 draft pick.
#2. Then I go to the Bell center for the last game over the year, I want the Leaf's victory to stomp out any hope they had of making the playoffs.

Seguin`s playoffs: 7 points in 13 games as a rookie...
I would argue that if it was not for Segun's 4 points in game two of the conference Finals, Boston would have never won game #2 against Tampa, thus never made it to the SCF... Eklund, Seguin was a major contributor to Boston`s Cup win, even if he only played in half the games. |

Now how can that possibly be... I thought the best prospects in hockey - regardless of position were Canucks property? You know ... anyone the Canucks draft or sign is just simply the best ... because ... you know... they're Canucks? |

Seguin was pretty major in the Tampa series. No way Boston wins that series without him. |
