We aren't complaining either. Did Boston get the best out of that Kesel for 2 1sts and 2nd? Yes, would I have done that deal then, no. But we aren't complaing and move on bud nothing to see here (Burkie got fleeced on that one, Kessel will never equal Seguin,Hamilton and Knight, never)!

Don't worry, soon all hockey fans will achieve the ultimate goal - every Leaf fan will admit that they overpayed for Kessel. Then the Flames can raise a banner saying "Every Leaf Fan Admitted It", and the NHL can cease operations.

I just want Leafs fans to admit they overpayed for Kessel and if given the choice they would trade Kessel for Seguin and Hamilton.
Instead they bring up the Kaberle trade. YES we know, that was a GREAT deal for the Leafs, but Boston isn't complaining.

Montreal got fleeced but Carolina didn't. Canes dug themselves a Kaberle hole but found a way out with Spacek becoming UFA, they got the money and should spend wisely.

really doesn't matter..J Knight is not on pace to become a top 6 forward in the NHL and I think Biggs is pegged to be a 6-9 checking forward.
Kessel > Seguin
Colborne > Knight
Liles > Hamilton (until we see this kid in the pros..we are getting more from this)
Biggs > Bonus player
kaberle is gone.

He does and that's once trade that I'll never forget. Sure Burkie tried to redeem himself with the Kaberle trade which was good on its own. Colborne will be a good power centre/winger but I'm not sure about the picks I guess time will tell. But I know that Seguin is awesome, Hamilton will be awesome and Knight will most likely follow the same path.  |
