The bolded point doesn't really say too much. You have a proven commodity vs 2 unproven commodities.

Personally I don't think we need nash or his salary, so no I wouldn't do it..

But then again I am not Schenn's biggest fan (like Aulie better for that position). Kadri seems like he could be a valuable piece, so I would rather not trad him unless it fills a 1st line centre role.

Works for me, but dont think there's any chance either team does that.

Stastny still has value and I don't think they'd eat Komi's salary to get a pending UFA in grabo

i think that deal hurts the leafs now, and in the future. the only area where it makes any sense is the cap. i think one of the strengths of toronto is their depth, both at forward and on D, and making that move robs them of that depth. no doubt that nash is a great player, but this move basically gives the leafs a lot of talent on the wing, but by trading away 2 of your best centers, you now have nobody to pass them the puck. connolly is a good player, but you can't depend on him because of his pretty regular trips to the DL. bozak shows signs of being a solid player, but he also shows a lot of signs of not being able to cut it in a top six role, he's just too inconsistent. colborne is obviously going to be a great player, but is he ready to assume a top six role in the NHL right now, probably not. I think this would be a terrible move for the leafs. it doesn't help them now, and it cripples them moving forward.

Or Nash for Getzlaf straight up. I'd do that

I mentioned that a while ago when the offer was apparently nash + brassard for schenn, kadri + Grabbo. I'd do that if I could keep brassard and flip Nash and Komi for Staal.

no way the AVS trade Peter, Marian, or Anton let alone Paul Stastny for a pending UFA and a over paid defensive liability.
I have no issues with the AVS trading Stastny, but that would be a steal for Burke

they gave up a 1st and 2nd round pick this summer for Varlamov - i think they are trying to back pedal and somehow regain a 1st rounder back IMHO
