Komi plus a 2nd and 3rd for Ryan Malone??? And i think GMS value 2nd and 3rd picks a lot and even salary i believe so its kinda believable considering tampa needs D... Maybe if you dont like it take out the 3rd and throw in like Scrivens or Rynnas.

It's just swapping bad contracts with comparable cap hits. TB would rather have a bad contract if they could get a d-man out of it. We'd rather have a bad contract who fills a need (if inadequately) up front.

I'd probably still hang on to Komi. In his final year as a rental, he might actually have some decent value. The closer he gets to the end of his deal, the less important his contract becomes to potential buyers.

Plus, he comes cheaper than his cap hit, which is a plus for some teams.

B Schenn is a big physical offensive center with top line potential. This is exactly what the Leafs need.

If they can get him and keep Kadri, excellent.

I'll defend Kadri toll the cows come home, but the main reason he has more NHL games is Schenn has been in the system on two very good teams with great depth at center, and Kadri's been on the Leafs.

played with a separated shoulder in the biggest game of his life so far... not what I would call soft.

Given the Leafs goaltending situation this year, I think we can do away with this "we're so deep in goal" stuff. Keep every goalie prospect Burkie can get his hands on.
