unfortunately, that turd Komisarek is one of our only vets in the room and one of the only guys on defense that can effectively block shots and clear the net...so aside from being overpaid, hes been doing his job of late. Not that I wouldnt want to move him, just saying hes been doing his job.

You got that right. I'm with you with respect to moving him if possible but he's actually doing his job. Now this team would be much harder to score on if the pylon caveman Pha9 could block shots and take out his man in his own end instead of getting lost all the time.

the way I see...it works perfectly if we move him and bring in a 1st line guy. Why?

If we keep Grabo it kinda floods us with 2nd line centers and dosnt really allow us to slowly bring in Colborne. I think we need to try our best to move Grabo for a first line center we need, and if that dosnt work you move Grabo for the best option we can have. Either that or try and sign him real cheap or for a short contract.

I think grabo stays for 12 mil./3yr, but does burkie move him now while he's a relatively hot commodity , or risk he shuffles off to buffalo for a 15yr/90 mil.come july I think moving or not moving grabo is burkies toughest call yet...glad I just get to sit and watch and wait...and wait...and wait....and wait...and......

like who? needed a center. He's put up good numbers and is a plus player. Had to pay him that much to keep it a 2 year deal, which is great because it's not a hinderance. Can likely be moved easily at deadline next year.

Personally...for the price of Nash, no thanks. Not what we need. The assets it would take to get Nash means we wont have too much left over afterwards to go after a legit first line centerman. Kessel really needs a guy with grit on his line because hes not very effective when the other team is all over him. He needs a guy who can bury someone on their arse for touching Kessel. Oh, and score too (Yes, Im referring to Getzlaf, I know... )

They need to take guys out of the play but also play the puck properly...not just hit a guy and leave the puck behind for the next guy.

You keep him unless 1. You find something better; or 2. He's being a d-bag and demanding too much.

Cash can be freed up. I can't see Lombo, Armstrong, Connolly and all of their big contracts playing in the bottom 6 next year. One or two can be moved. For god's sake that'd be the top line in Montreal. BOOM!! I have to leave now.

Since when was there such a thing as a 'hometown discount' with regards to Grabs? Sure, his career's taken off here, but he's turning 28, he's in his prime and this might be his only chance to truly land a big paycheque. I'm sceptical of this assumption he loves it here so much he turn down an extra 5 million dollars, c'mon guys, he's Russian.

If some GM out there offers him 5yr/25m...and it's a sunny destination his GF would like to raise a new child, then why would he stay in toronto for a million less per year?

im indifferent...we really dont know "what" hes saying or "what" hes instructing...I cant tell you the problems we've experienced so far was due to his poor systems, or having a young team, with new faces, who are just starting to figure things out.
