Seems to me like the only way we'll land a true impact forward is by including BOTH Nazem and Luke.

The fact that Komisarek's contract is included in that deal makes it very very plausible.

Grabovski's a given too considering he's in a contract year and looking for a big raise.

unfortunately, that turd Komisarek is one of our only vets in the room and one of the only guys on defense that can effectively block shots and clear the net...so aside from being overpaid, hes been doing his job of late. Not that I wouldnt want to move him, just saying hes been doing his job.

Connolly was overpaid to keep it to a 2 year deal. Guarantee he would rather have taken less money for 2 more years.

Grabbo would likely get 5-ish on open market, but resigning him to that price would be crazy.

2nd line center can't be you 2nd highest paid forward unless his name is Malkin

the way I see...it works perfectly if we move him and bring in a 1st line guy. Why?

Connolly
Bozak
Steckel
*Colborne stepping in for injuries

After that year we have

New Guy
Colborne
Bozak
Steckel (or whoever)

If we keep Grabo it kinda floods us with 2nd line centers and dosnt really allow us to slowly bring in Colborne. I think we need to try our best to move Grabo for a first line center we need, and if that dosnt work you move Grabo for the best option we can have. Either that or try and sign him real cheap or for a short contract.
