If that's all it takes to get Nash I say toss another 1st and a prospect or 2nd rounder to get Carter in(could we flip him somewhere else?). Heck, why not get Brassard along with it if we really don't think Bozak and Conolly can get the job done as it seems Lombardi and Steckel are excellent fits for the 3rd and 4th.
The fact that we can get Nash guarantees that Colborne's transition to the NHL will give him a power-winger with hands to help him develop. It would also give us the best scoring depth we've had in a long time while dumping Turdisarek.

K so id take the sweedish guy with nash only cause he has a year left but his cap hit is huge and hes nothing special. I would try Komisarek Scrivens and a 2nd for Ryan Malone... I would think Tampa would take that in a heart beat... Then maybe pull off this huge Nash trade and maybe swing Kulimen and Gunner plus maybe mac for a center like Staal, Colin Wilson etc any guy with skill and size.. Bozak plus for Sutter on Carolina would be a great deal in my opinion, but you know what i like Bozy as a 3rd line center especially if Amy can stay healthy those guys can turn into our shutdown 3rd line guys in the playoffs... there good buddys.
I honestly think the leafs should trade some D away and sign Grossman or Boychuck in the summer to make up for it, those guys would look great in blue and white, for the right price... a lot of teams would want those guys though. Fired this idea on the Oilers thread, but if they are outside the top 3 picks maybe even lower we'll say, would you do a Schenn for Oilers 1st? At what point would you not do it?
