Yep, and if he delivers then go for a 4 years 4-4,5M. That would be my strategy.

I don't see him settling for a 2 year.. he is 27, he is in his prime he will look for a longer tern

I would trade him at the deadline and sign him on July 1st for 2.5M. Probably the best offer he'll receive anyway.

Hey buddy, i'm not here for bully fight over internet. You wanna go the personnal attack way fine with me, i'm just here to talk hockey and take a few minutes off my work. I really couldn't care less about the rest. But go on, you are actually entertaining, well far more than my secretary.

From his point of view it's obvious. But right now i don't think his value is that high on the market. Logging back to back 25 goals-season could boost it but on the other hand it's tricky since he would leave some money on the table.

Not a chance he gets less than 3M a year.

That reminds me of a guy who wanted Habs to sign Anthony Stewart last year, that he would get 3M...

AK said he would take less than Market value, not less than what he's making now. Just saying there's a difference. Either way they should know what it would take to get him signed or move him. And for those who question his value at the deadline, I'm not sure there's a lot better than him available if someone is looking for scoring.

I agree, I just know that if you hit free agency it only takes 1 GM. I can't see not one GM offering a 3+ year deal.
