Montoya, Nabokov and Poulin all skating at #isles practice today.

Not sure Nabokov would be skating if he was traded. Maybe he will be but no word on anything.

- BringBackBalky

Maybe Montoya is still hurt?? MAybe he is not 100% yet? Or maybe the Islanders felt out of place without the 3 goalie rotation

I thought Runblad in Phoenix for Turris no? . He hardly just a Prospect.

If there is trading partner team we can make a move its Phoenix. They need fowards and they have tons of DMAN.

That was my point

he hasnt been impressive- granted. and a lot of people said this is his year to prove he is worthwhile. BUT he hasnt been given a chance.... he plays with poopty line mates. give the guy a finisher and id bet the house baileys numbers increase significantly
- LetsGoIsles

But then why is he any more valuable than PaP? Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I know you don't like PA and you point to the fact that PA's numbers are inflated because he played with Tavares and Moulson, which is a fair point. But then why is Bailey any better if he needs to have more talented players carry his game?

I realize that when you get stuck playing with crap you may be limited, but that's only to a point. It was an argument about Nino for awhile, and I felt the same way. He's not doing (and I feel he never really has) the little things right. He rarely takes the body, he appears terrified to shoot the puck when he has perfect opportunities to do so. He gets time on the 2nd PP unit and he produces nothing (as do the rest of them on that unit). He doesn't play with any fire, I just don't see how anyone can justify keeping him around after his contract expires in 2013.

29 days to go. I wonder if the Snowman will keep a freeze on, or shake things up.,

Changes could be coming, I don't know why I think that, but I do..

Montoya not 100% healthy/sharp, Nabokov drawing some interest (draft pick), #Isles being smart with Poulin recall.

#Isles recall Kevin Poulin and Rhett Rakhshani; Marty Reasoner placed on injured reserve retroactive to Jan 6
- BringBackBalky

I guess Ullstrom showed too much promise in his short stint here and Wang & Snow felt that he was showing up all the garbage they brought in here during the offseason so they have to keep him buried in the minors

I have no problem with Rhett, but I agree that Ullstrom should have been recalled instead.

I think we have to make a move, according to ESPN, we are not involved in any talks! I hope they are wrong, we have to make a move and get rid of rolston and honestly at this point will staios even play another game? Dump them and let the youth have some fun and gain some experience.

From the Cauncks Blog....what do you guys think?

To Vancouver- PA Parenteau
For
To New York Islanders- Jordan Schroeder, Yann Sauve and a 3rd rd pick

I absolutely love the way Parenteau plays and think he is going to have a huge playoffs for someone. He is grittier than a lot of our players and would be an upgrade to the 2nd/3rd lines. I know I'm offering a lot but there will be a bidding war for him and he is the type of guy Vancouver needs to get. Schroeder is the same type of player as Parenteau (but smaller and less gritty), but is a few years away so he will be a nice fit in a few years. Sauve should turn into a solid 5/6 D for the Isles as well.

- LetsGoIsles

Just what we need. Another smaller, less gritty player and another 5/6 D-man. Thats what this team is built with now.

I'm loving that Bridgeport is good, but to me if Garth is calling up a bunch of different guys to get a look it says he doesn't have much faith in this team making the playoffs. Maybe Rhett will take his chance and run with it and really surprise everyone. But for now, I think Ullstrom gives us the best chance to win. Certainly won't be upset if I'm wrong.

See now if snow was a real GM he would trade Nabby along with Frans and maybe PAP and get a bigger return then another draft pick who will do absolutely nothing for this organization.

Hopefully rolston is scratched tomorrow. If that's the case then great. It will actually show the fan base hat they give a poop

This has to be b/c they are trading some people. Betteman asked all teams to wait till after the all star game to make any trades. He essentially put some moves on hold so they would not take away from the All star festivities. If there are moves today and Garth isn't one of them.. I give up.

if you bought 2 stocks (1 share each) Stock "A" for $100 and Stock "B" for $100.

stock "A" plummets to $20/share-- would you sell and lose $80 or hold it and hope to make some, if not all, of your money back down the line?

stock "B" soars to $175/share-- would you sell and make a $75 profit or hold onto it and hope it continues rising?
