Boyes is gonna be gone for sure but that's a no brainer....watch for Gragnani to also be among the ones moved.

Any slight clues on who could be coming in? They aren't going to make a big splash for that center till the off season I believe via trade. Homer are Brassard and Gagner names you've heard being thrown around??

Boyes wll only get a us pickm most likely a 3rd Ive heard. No idea about the guys you mentioned.

I am looking forward to watching the journeyman on an expiring contract Darcy gets for another second round draft pick.

Regardless of what Brian Burke seems to think, everyone in hockey must agree that, if you have some garbage you want to get rid of, and you would like another second round pick, then Darcy becomes incredibly easy to get on the phone.

Without revealing names have you heard anything about players being brought in?

Not this year, that makes no sense seeing we are out of it.

Ranking for League Wins:

'97-'98 12th
'98-'99 11th
'99-'00 16th
'00-'01 6th
'01-'02 21st
'02-'03 27th

'06-'07 1st
'07-'08 20th
'08-'09 18th

Given the previous ownership situations, I don't think this is all that bad.

All the really good years must just be statistical accidents?

Everyone is complaining and going nuts over darcy right now. I'm going to hold judgement until after trade deadline.
Ted is partly right when he mentions that we are way ahead of the game from where we were as an Organization but as far as the team goes thats another story. At the beginning of the year I don't think I was the only one excited over how we felt about the team. Let's see what happens and if nothing is done to change the look of the team then lets have at Darcy. Four weeks to change our minds Darcy!

All things considered, I think getting a 3rd round pick for a guy as useless as Boyes would be amazing. Personally, I wouldn't offer Darcy more than a 6th rounder for the guy.

All? You mean the 3, tops? 3 "good" years out of 13 kinda sucks if you ask me.

He had 14 years to win me over. He utterly failed.

Seriously? Is Darcy still auditioning?

I agree that it makes no sense. But I predict that Darcy's deals will be designed to save his job, not improve the long-term outlook of the Sabres.

I'm judging Darcy based on his previous 13 years. I think that's enough time for me to form an opinion on Darcy. Even if Darcy has a decent deadline, I'll still think he's kind of a joke

as an organization, the Sabres are ahead of the game in regards to financial stability. I have yet to see any improvements in the decision making dept

I trust you Homer and I just got nauseous thinking that Darcy really believes he will get more than that.

Burke is absolutely right about this guy. Buffalo paid a second rounder for a guy who previously had a good couple seasons, but who had recently stopped scoring. A year later, he is still not scoring.

Under what delusional formula does this make the value for Boyes go up or even stay the same? Take the 3rd rounder and count your blessings.

He has had one year with TP so like I said I want to see what he does this month. You can't compare the previous years to this one, so lets wait and see what is done and if nothing changes the give him the hook. Basically I'm giving him four weeks to change my mind about him. That's just what I am feelin right now.

3 good years
5 mediocre years
5 awful years (this year will make 6)

no reason Darcy and Lindy should still have jobs

I see your point, but the whole "it was all Golisano/Quinn's fault" excuse making for Regier is getting more and more ridiculous by the day.

When Golisano left, he adamantly maintained that they completely stayed out of player personnel decisions. I am beginning to think that he was telling the truth.

They have enough options in Rochester to fill his position, much cheaper options also.
