You here the mic part, where P kane was telling soupy how hot that blonde is? - Cpilc
I missed that. I did watch the whole thing. Kane really sounds like a complete tool. Iggy reaches over and taps him on the leg to shake his hand. Iggy says 'Congratulations', Kane says 'Oh, hey. What's up Bud ?'.
He really needs to get a life-lesson and get the sh!t beat out of him.... He'd learn a lot. |

Thats who he is, I don't think that will ever change. And if he were ever to actually play in Buffalo for the Sabres it would be multiplied by 100. |

Yep. He'd think like he was the King of a small nation if he came to Buffalo.
I want no part of him. He's a douche, makes a lot of money, is a winger and not a Center, is small and appears to be having a bad year (could there be issues that no one knows about - problem in the locker room, booze, drugs, lack of focus, etc ??)
Just thinking out loud through a keyboard...
Edit: and yes, I know he's talented and could make the team better. I just think there has to be some better options available. |

He better not ever be a buffalo sabre unless he has a major attitude adjustment.. he is a tool and an entitled one, i think he could learn alot from playing in a town where no one gives a crap about him.. Send him to florida or phx |

what does that say when your capt is one of the last players taken at the all star draft? That just shows how much top end talent this team has! We have a team fulll of 2nd and 3rd line players!! - Cpilc
You do realize the order in which guys are picked mean absolutly f all right? The NHL allstar weekend is a big enough joke already and then they had to go put this in. |

Thats a hell no on Pommer and right now your only consistant scoring winger as well the best bang for the contract buck you have going forward. Why not on Stafford ? |

A lot of the Hockeys guys say that there is an unofficial freeze on until after the game. Dreger was on tsn and said he expects moves in the week after. |

Only you, Garth, can take what was a classy moment by Alfie and find some way to insult all Sens fans. It was a nice gesture, the league's longest-serving captain acknolwedging in front of his hometown fans that he was picking another captain that embarassed him years earlier and ended the team's season. Can you not just leave it at that? What is obnoxious is the fact that you have to throw in a snippet like that in describing the event. We ought to be uniting in our shared hatred of Toronto, for cyring out loud. - duffyforever
I heard Ottawa fans were yelling out Belak comments last night. Did that really happen? What did they say? |

The first trade that should be happening next week better be this one...
Derek Roy – He’s in my mind the consummate 2nd line center; he’s always closing in on that 1st line status but fluctuates with consistency. While he lacks the size and defensive awareness that would be ideal for the club, nobody can doubt his skill. Roy struggling on the disappointing Sabres with 9 goals and 25 points in 47 games. Buffalo may be looking to make a major shakeup with their ‘Core,’ and you have to think Roy might be the guy that gets the boot. He still has some good trade value despite his actual salary going up on the final year on his deal which ends after next season.
Trade: 1st round pick 2012, 2nd round pick 2012, Conditional (On making the playoffs) 2nd round pick 2013, (D) Connor Murphy
Reasons: It’s hard to gage what Buffalo would really want for Roy and this trade scenario is one that is probably the least likely. To me the extra year and past performances make him worth more than Grabovski and so you get a slew of picks and one of the Coyotes better prospects. Connor Murphy since coming back from his injury has taken his place as the Sarnia Sting’s top defender and has moved seamlessly into the OHL which is rare for American rookies.

I didn't read it but if it came down to a decision by the hawks, it's not even close I'd take Toews over Kane hands down. - twistedwrister9
Yeah I would think that is pretty obvious. |

39. Thomas Vanek: Sick mitts, with an assassin's mentality. On pace for a career high in assists. He has improved his playmaking skills. Those hands should be able to make great passes. Velvety. If I'm his coach, I tell him to shoot more. Buffalo needs an overhaul. But keep this guy.

I read that too. I think you can drop the D prospect. I don't know that the Sabres need more on that end. Maybe Phoenix has another prospect that fits more into the Sabres needs.
To be honest, there is not a single trade in the world that I would be disappointed in if it resulted in Derek Roy being on another hockey team (yes, this is hyperbole, but only a little).

He's right on pretty much all counts. Unfortunately, he's making a lot of those sick passes to players that are inferior to him as hockey players, including Pominville. And he definitely needs to shoot more. |

This is and has been the biggest problem on Buffalo's roster since 'They' left.. The drop off in talent between Vanek and ______________ (insert linemates name here) is huge.
I've said it a million times. The Buffalo Sabres are the WORST team at odd-man rushes in the league. They simply do not know where to go on the ice to either dish a pass or receive a pass that will result in a quality scoring chance. |
