Slowest day in the history of Bill's Blog...

we could talk about the ASG draft. I'm not sure what was worse...the draft show or the prep I was doing last night for my Colonoscopy today. Both were somewhat nauseating and sickeningly sweet. One of them seemed like it took forever and forced me to run to the bathroom every few minutes and the other one was prescribed by my doctor.

You need a different doc. There are tablets now so you just take them and drink water. Same effect, but no issue with ookyness or sweetness of the prep.

thought some of you may get a kick out this, my kid is earning her nickname of Carcillo today.

It's hockey jersey day at school, the memo said "Hockey Jersey day at school Friday, everybody wear your Leafs jersey's"

My daughter is not a Leaf fan nor do we own a Leaf jersey.

I'm sure people don't want to hear the details of this. Suffice it to say I'm not new to this and I'm seeing the best GI for inflamatory bowel disease in Philly. Those pills are very aggressive and can flare those who are sensitive.

Its obvious that 2 and 3 tie together. If the Flyers trade for a defenseman, then Carle wont resign, and if Carle wont resign then they will trade for a defenseman.

I think at the end of the season the people that vote for these awards will see that Couturier's numbers might not be as high as the other rookies, they will be close, but Couturier's role will be bigger then the other rookies.

Jagr will have streches of hot and cold, but I doubt he will be cold for the whole time after the ASG.

As for Bryz, I have said all along that he will find a grove, and transition into the goalie we need here. Patience is key.

1...Cooter is having a great rookie season but I don't see him winning the Calder.
2...Don't know how "bold" of a prediction that is. I could see him not being extended for a variety of reasons...he may want to test the market, but so too may the team.
3...also not very "bold" considering there has been discussion of such a scenario for weeks.
4...I hope not. See my earlier post on Jagr. Depends on his injuries.
5....I hope so. He has shown flashes that he could go either way.

1. Disagree. He's not close now to being one.
2. Disagree. If they want Suter or Weber they won't.
3. Agree. They have to. They should have a month ago.

Hahaha amazing.

i like the ASG draft format, but the production and actual show itself was mickey mouse and almost unwatchable. They tried so hard to manufacture things that it ended up being uncomfortable. Plus, as I'm sure has been beaten to death, I wanted to jump into the crowd myself they were so obnoxious so I can only imagine how the players felt. They're used to being able to atleast yap back, must have been difficult to bite the tongue.

They were talking on Hockey Central today that they wished Hartnell went last in the draft because he would have been an awesome interview and they knew it wouldn't have bothered him at all.

I love the Hartnell's of the NHL, you don't get the canned responses that most players give.

I also love a Knuble interview, he really thinks about the question and he's brutally honest.
