She wanted a date night, so I obliged, but normally I'm on your side in that regard.

A matinee isn't bad - less money and less of a crowd. I won't complain about a 5.99 OnDemand charge again, I'll tell you that.

I'm just wondering if she enjoyed the movie. I wasn't happy with the casting of the two male leads....Haven't seen it yet.

So, uh...tangent_ma'am loves the Stephanie Plum books by Evanovich, so we went to see One for the Money tonight, and quickly remembered why we don't go to the movies anymore.

$13 and change for a large soda and popcorn combo, $8.50 for the soda alone, and $10.50 per ticket. All to see a movie on a miniaturized screen (they turned a 4 theater complex into 16 many years ago).

And she was pissed that they didn't accept the $6 ticket Groupon discount, even when their company's name was listed as a participant. Naturally.

You know I'm George Costanza when it comes to this kinda stuff. I get my movie vouchers via iCoke cap codes. I have the chocolate bars in the cargo pockets and the wife has the pop cans in her purse. I actually get 100 Cineplex points per voucher too.

She liked it. Thought Heigl was good as Plum. Didn't mention any negatives about Morelli or Ranger. Pictured the grandmother a little differently than Debbie Reynolds, though.

The snackage was poorly planned on our part, for sure.

Gritty winger Pat Maroon with 20 goals and 45 points in 39 games – he was traded from the Flyers to the Ducks last season after some off-ice issues. Has NHL upside, could get a shot if/when Blake is traded and Selanne retires.

The manager had stepped out, too. But she got his name and number, the poor bastard.

He'll be known as the next Patrick Sharp in no time flat. People will forget that they didn't care for him here and will blame Homer for trading him. You know, Bipolar syndrome.

Greg Gilbert was the worst thing that happened to the Phantoms in 2009 - and that was the year they left Philadelphia.
