Eklund just got around to reading Elliotte Friedman's 30 thoughts from a few weeks ago that praised the Flyers, and said if they felt neither Bob or Bryz could get it done they wouldn't hesitate to go after a third goalie

The Philadelphia hockey media is a (frank)ing joke.
- Jsaquella

It's sad. I can only imagine what Holmgren, Laviolette, and Snider say about the media behind closed doors. I'm sure they despise them.

So Eklund is reporting the Flyers are looking at Nabokov? The Flyers don't want to get burned by not having 3 goalies ready to go for the playoffs? And I saw a bleacher report that the Flyers could trade Bryz to Edmonton for Khabibulin (sp?) and Andy Sutton.

Can't wait to hear what else comes up as we approach the deadline.

if you're not following fake bleacher report on twitter, you must do so immediately.

Giving up 45 foot, unscreened 5 hole goals also kept guys away from the crease.

Was that one Claude Lemieux in the playoffs?

I'm sure they laugh it off as they drive away in Snider's 4 door porsche with cigar's in hand.

I would. I don't mind an incompetent media, I hate an agenda driven media. Way too much focus on banality and off-ice drama than the drama on the ice.

Claude Lemieux and others. Lemieux's hurt the worst...maybe Glenn Anderson's in game 7 of the SCF in 1987.

I wouldn't doubt it. Bobrovsky has started what, 3 playoff games in his life? To say he isn't the answer in the playoffs would be foolish, just as foolish as giving up on Bryzgalov after 32 starts.

I was asked, and conceded in solidarity. I'm not sure why we are a MASH unit during the break. But I'll go back to my zebra profession and clownfish flyers colors before the playoffs at the very least.

(And this from a guy with a 3-avatar rotation! )

The Bryzard of Oz poop is so unprofessional. I hate the fact when Bryzgalov speaks to the media they push him into a corner and get him to say something that appears to be controversial. It really is sickening that their mission is to drum up sensationalistic stories. Do they honestly think that fans of the team enjoy reading that type of bullpoop?

It doesn't make any sense to me. The Flyers are not going to give up on Bryzgalov after 32 starts, and there is zero reason to trade Bobrovsky.
- PLindbergh31

What if you could trade Bob for L.Schenn, without giving up JVR. Would that be a reason?

There are idiots who seem to delight when Bryzgalov struggles. They seem to think that he's the one that edited 24/7 to give himself maximum exposure, or that he wants to be on TV all the time. They ignore that he;s told the media to (frank) Off more than once this season.

On the road, the Flyers have killed penalties at a healthy 85.3 percent clip. At home, however, Philly ranks 26th in the NHL with an unacceptable 78.0 percent success rate

Too hungry for shorthanded goals at home?

They do sometimes make inappropriate plays at the blue line, looking for a breakout rather than a simple clear, but I haven't noticed whether this is a home/road issue.

I'm not high on L. Schenn. I have zero interest in parting with the type of package it will take to land him. I would prefer the Flyers add a veteran for a pick, if not stand pat and go after Suter hard on July 1.

I enjoyed Bryzgalov's post game interview after either the NJ or Wild game (can't remember which), when he seemed to be be kind of staring off into space rattling off as many stock answers (i.e. we played well as team, so we got win as team) as he could. It only could've been better if he rolled his eyes and sighed after each question.

I think the media eats it up when Bryzgalov struggles. They can go back to the well writing dumb goaltender controversy stories that they can cut and paste, instead of doing their actual jobs.

I don't think there are actual fans of the team that revel in Bryzgalov's struggles.

I really wish the team could make him not accessible to the media. I think there is an NHL rule that mandates they can't do it. I honestly think he would play better if he didn't have to deal with them.

I also liked when they asked him about the 5 to 1 loss...how did he think he played?

I'd love it if he gave detailed answers in Russian about the works of Tolstoy to every question.

Panaccio: Bryz, you made a big glove save there on Parise, did you gain confidence from that?

Bryz: Толстой был блестящим, если немного долго наматывается. Его эпос иногда вытащить, но очень приятно, dilligent читателя.

Seravalli: I write my column in crayon

Bryz: Любой получил цианистый капсулы?
