Yeah I don't want to see Grabner traded.... I was talking to Bruins fans yesterday and to a man they say no shot Bruins will trade Doug H. I think if the Isles offered them Streit for Doug H they should jump at it b/c it may be the difference between repeating for cup. you have to take that shot when u get them... they may not be back in this position for a long time.. u never know.

Boston is so high on DH.
I think it would cost a kings ransom to pry DH from Bean town.

And I agree with the other posters. Streit along doesnt get us Luke Schenn. Just testing the waters.

some of u guys are crazy, lol, keep this player, resign this one, get rid of that one for the moon.........

Let reality kick in, an realize this team needs TALENTED PLAYERS, an a professional COACH. There are only a few players on the team u keep an build around, the rest could go.

This year we have assets to trade, now its up to Snow to see what kind of GM he is/or what kind of return we can get back.

I'll keep that in mind!!!

Never. And I wouldn't trade Streit; he may not be a #1 D-man anymore at 33/34 years old but he's still effective, a good leader and only makes $4M a year. I'd keep him. I'd also look into re-signing Parenteau because he's proven he can be a top six or top nine option for this team going forward. And as great as guys like Kabanov, Petrov, etc. might be, Parenteau is already on pace for 70+ points this season. Lock him up. If the Islanders stay scorching hot and the playoffs become realistic, I'd keep Nabokov; otherwise, I'd only trade him if the Islanders got something decent back. I wouldn't just dump him. Staios, the islanders will never get anything for, so they can just waive him with Rolston and Pandolfo.

I like Streit but the only thing he has been effective at has been turning the puck over and making horrible passes. He is not the same player we have seen and if there is a decent trade to be made with him Snow would be an ass not to make it.

id literally put everyone on the block and see what everyone can fetch us. including JT (not saying id give the guy away; i would certainly listen)
- LetsGoIsles

If JT were traded for anyone barring Crosby in this league it would be a Milburyish trade IMO. The kid is a star already in my book. Guy plays with more heart and love for the game on this shat team more than anyone I've seen in my fourty years of existence. Him playing on this team and not demanding to be traded away from this circus in itself he deserves an award for.

Rolston is my hero this year just for that

I would keep Rolston around next year just for pre season and have him do it again

- kasperrko

Look up the word "Larceny." You will see Rolstons's face next to the definition. He is stealing his paycheck that the Isles are shelling out!!

I hope for him that your team will lift up someday. Really thought that with the emergence of Grabner last year, Niederreiter about to do this team, Okposo getting older, etc., your team was about to crack a playoff spot... This should be really exhausting for you all.

Anyway, I wouldn't trade Tavares neither, for anything under Toews.

Good luck for the final stretch !

That's the beauty of shopping him this year, while he still has a full season remaining on his contract. Unless we get an offer we really can't refuse, we can hang onto him for next year at no detriment to us.

My guesses for the Isles moves around and/or at the deadline: Eaton gets moved for a 4th or 5th round pick. Parenteau gets moved if someone really makes a strong offer. Hell, we got a freakin 1st round pick for Campoli and PA easily has more value than him.

While a true supporter of this team since '72, season tickets, etc. I personally don't think the Isles are doing anything right. Josh Bailey for example is a total bust, maybe because he should have stayed in Juniors, or maybe he just not the talent that the Isles thought he was, bottom line, to many give away's, get's knocked on his ass 1, 2, 3, can't control the puck...etc. The older players, Jay, Brian, Marty, Mike, and Steve, have had little impact on the team, and very little positive production. Then there's lines 2, 3, and 4, even less production. So other than JT, Matty, PA and Kyle to a point now that he's on the first line, goalies, OK Gabs and Monty have done a terrific job...so how can anyone write or say,,,development is there. There's no development...the real crime is having JT play here, the guy would be in the top 5 elsewhere..playing for the islanders just show what an amazing talent he is.

I'm not going to speculate about trades because I don't think we have much of value that we'd move, but I will guess at what next years defense could look like if we don't sign or trade someone.

streit katic
hamonic macdonald
dehaan donovan

little scary? The talent is potentially there, but the size, experience and physical play? Not at all.

One thing though, I am extremely high on Donovan, moreso than dehaan, and I liked what I saw of dehaan.

Wow, watching the Allstar draft and jt looks big in street clothes and you can tell he's beefed up. Tough to tell that when he's in gear but he looks huge compared to last year and his rookie year.
