If we trade for Getzlaf, we are sending Aulie back the other way.

a) you don't want that in a dressing room. Would lead to much awkwardness.

b) Remember Tucker and Corson? Yeah, we aren't doing that again.

plus if im not mistaken you get a penalty or the faceoff goes outside of the zone or something if the D comes in from the point.

am i making this up or am i on the ball? im tired today..

- big_dion

You are correct.

If a scrum forms, and the defencemen come down further than the top of the face-off circles, it goes outside.

Or maybe a Statsny, Paul? They're both readily available, new models. Both have different features...

The Statsny offers a smooth ride, with sleek cuts in the body. The assisst feature 2012 is an upgrade to previous versions, shot functions works well too, but there are some bugs with the software.

The Getzlaf is not for the faint of heart. This is a rough and tumble ride. It might seem uncomfortable at first, but believe me it's protection works well with it's rough ride. For example, you could keep your Fruit Loops and Kellogs on the front seat and not worry about them getting all shook up an crunched. The assisst feature included here is a version before the version included with The Statsny, but better than most other versions. The shot feature here, much better than the shot feature in the Statsny package, hands down....

So, do you need some time to think this over?

No, my choice of the 2 is Getzlaf, as long as the colour is able to come in blue and white.

The Getzlaf model sounds more like something I would be interested in, but Im not sure we can afford something like that right now...whats the price tag say?

I thought Tucker and Corson got along great?

They were both clients at the same accounting firm my grandfather used to work at.

you can forget about Stastny, EK says Buffalo's getting him for ROY. but i think that just means there is a bigger chance some team other than Buffalo gets him

I believe Corson slept with Mogilny's wife and then got benched by Quinn because of it.

I could be wrong. It was so long ago, and I was young.

Yeah but that's Corson and Mogilny, not Corson and Tucker. And it was Tucker married to Corson's sister I believe

It aint working. None of those dudes on the back end are "mean"

And they don't want Dion fighting.

- Brian Huddle

Do you think they will want Getzlaf fighting? or Staal? or Nash? or Parise? or....ANYONE ON THE FIRST LINE?

I think if we are going to contend then we should target Kessel as a 2nd line RW. Ideally, we pick up Getzlaf, and sign Parise as a FA.

Lupul-Getzlaf-Parise
Kadri-Connolly-Kessel
Kulemin-Bozak-Army
Brown-Steckel-Crabb
*These two could be switched

Phanuef-Liles
Gunnarson-Franson
Gardiner-Komisarek
Aulie

With the following on the way out:
Schenn
Lombardi
MacArthur
Grabo

If this was our team going into next year I think we could do some serious damage. It would also give Colborne more time in the A, and he could come up at the deadline to replace Connolly and free up the extra cash to resign Getz.
