this is a dumb post.
detroit has been in the playoffs for 20 years.
and they were top 5 in most of those years, you dont get amazing picks year after year when you draft last.
just sayin.
detroit has drafted well, what about Howard?
I mean datsyuk and zetterberg are huge pick ups. pavel may damn well be the most skilled player in the league right now with crosby out.

Howard was taken behind only Fleury and Crawford, so far as goalies go... he wasn't exactly a huge stretch.
And seriously, what goalie hasn't looked at least decent playing in Detroit?
they rode the success of a few good draft picks over this length of time, and lately, other than drafting people that the internet deems as 'steals' the second they're drafted(half because they showed some cool skills in a youtube video, and half because detroit drafted them), they haven't brought up much through their ranks.
And when talking about detroit, using "they don't have good picks" isn't a good excuse, because people rave about how awesome they are at getting great players with poopty picks. Something they haven't done in nearly a decade. |
