id almost consider keeping our centers for 1 more year (til connollys time is up). add another great winger (a scoring winger). Trade Mac, a D and a prospect.

just an idea, something a lil dif than the big talks of adding the #1 center.

thoughts? Nash was just an example.

*this gives colborne another year in the AHL- and first call up when connolly or someone gets hurt.

I forgot this part... Not Nash. That is all.

Yo B-huds, how are you gauging some of the young leafs in junior?
McKegg has 22 goals and 28 assists in 44 games.
Ross has 29 goals and 28 assists in 47 games.
Carrick 24 goals and 20 assists in 44 games.

Not bad... It's nice to see the leafs hanging on to younger players, for once in my life I get to watch these kids develop.

EDIT: Two centers and a winger to look forward to!

I just found out that Cox locked me out of his Star comments...he can't take the crap back that he shovels out....I told him to grow up and he should trade the pukebag he spews his crap into in for a bib....funny how he makes a living dividing Leaf Nation but can't taste his own medicine...HYPOCRITE LOSER

I personally feel something special will come of McKegg... You can mark that down. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it...

Saw McKegg last night (as well as multiple times live this year). He switches between center and wing a lot, so I'm not sure where I gauge him long term... likely a scoring winger. He's lights out with London but was awful with Erie (they were a baaaaaad team). Looks like a 2nd line type... ala Martin Erat or something.

Ross has improved a lot this year. Stopped being so reckless, but brings that edge and hard hitting game without bone headed slewfoots/knee-on-knees he used to. His scoring touch is pretty solid, but I think he's more 3rd line agitator ala Tucker.

Carrick has improved a hell of a lot this year, captaining his team. My biggest issue is that I doubt his offense translates and he's more of a bottom six role player the way he plays a fearless aggressive game.

I feel Nash is overrated.
But he does play on one of the weakest teams, that's really never been able to provide him with talent to play with.

He'd be nice(but pricey) to have, but he's not what we need. We need a mean top-6er... preferably a center.

McKegg may turn into a Jeff Carter-like center. He's okay defensively, he has great vision for the most part - plays into the boards, fights for the puck. He's offensively talented alone, but he would get some supreme production coupled with a guy like Lupul (whos two way game is close to best in the game at the present time, IMO).

Mckegg is a BEAST.

since joining London i think they have won 9 straight and mckegg has 16 points in those 9 games, including 2 goals vs his old team with an OT winner.

did the leafs pull a detroit and draft a gem outside of the first 2 rounds?

I THINK SO!

nash was just an example, and we have talked a ton about getting centers so i thought id switch it up a bit and talk about keeping the centers for another year and adding a scoring winger. just a thought.

nash was one of the best players last olympics if you ask me.

You're right. Guys like Johnny Malkin are normally drafted in the 5th round. Gimme a break.

only way schenn goes is for big forward, if not he stays and komi gets bought out next year,

dreger says bluejackets want to trade carter and he wants out, also says it wil take a first round pick and a forward that can play now, not alot of teams want him, if ur burkie u do it. 1st td pick and grabo. grabo is a ufa will likely get 3.5-4 mill, carter is a 5.27 mill cap hit for next 10 years, 40 goal guy at 27 u do it. you can also keep schenn with that deal.

- leafsdc

Here's the thing, are we a "first round pick's worth" better with Carter over Grabo considering that Carter will also cost more for a much longer time.

I feel the same way, but over the past few weeks I've been considering that he might actually improve 10-fold by playing with greater talent - it's a hunch.

I know I'm overrating him (mckegg), but I think (yell if I'm just really off track) he might turn into a full time center with a bit more weight and height to him. If his development was linear, I agree will turn into a scoring winger or 2B/3A center. Hard to say, but I believe that he's about to blast off.

I've seen both Tool and Perfect Circle many times, the first time was at snowjob around 96 for tool...and that concert was awesome. But every concert since, its the same, the music sounds great, but there's no life in the performance, simply going through the motions. Maynard is a horrible showman. That said, if you love Tool for the music, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Just don't expect a crazy kick ass performance.

i find the Foo Fighters for example the complete opposite....music's not as good but somehow good ole dave knows how to make you feel you just saw the best band on earth.

- mykokes

This ain't my first rodeo my friend, I've seen Tool ...so many times I've lost count....A Perfect Circle half a dozen times.
I know what to expect from the best musicians in the world. If I wanted a "show", I'd go see Cirque-du-soleil
