If Tampa doesn't first.
- AdamFrench

I was actually thinking that.

What I don't understand is why Tampa let Desjardins walk. Last year he comes up, registers two solid wins and Yzerman says he's their goalie of the future....then he lets him walk?

They need a backup, Andersson is playing way too many games. They'll claim Nittymaki I think
- mykokes

I hope they don't get him. Let them tumble. The three games in hand we have on them will get us past them...

Yep,BM wont sell any of our kids either unless it fits the mantra of a rebuilding club. Its not that big a deal that ottawa is in a playoff spot the east sucks and we have taken advantage of it a little .It still doesnt change the fact we are no where close to being a contender and have plenty of holes to fill.

So if we crash we crash ,the payoff is we still have our first and we can hopefully draft another piece

I still dont think you guys will end up within a playoff spot...but like you said, win win

Oh and by the way. I know Toronto has one more loss than Florida, but it's disgusting that Florida's ahead in the tie considering they've got three less wins.

You are not chasing us for a playoff spot, and andersson is fine he played the same amount of games with col during their run into the playoffs .

Tokarski is ahead of him on the depth chart in the AHL so probably didn't really need another AHL starter. I still think it's funny that they rested their season on a 42 year old Roloson and Garon who every single freaking year has 12 great games and starts out on fire, then crumbles to the earth and sucks. Every freaking year...

Anything can happen ,hockey is not something you can predict.Did you guys think Lupal was going to light it up they way he has ??and for kullie to fall so much from his previous years production.Every team gets lucky and has surprises

They're a pretty good team now that the young guys are starting emerge....

up front: spezza's rejuvinated with a PMD to carry the puck up, same with Alfie....they haven't had that since Corvo, Redden and Preissing were there.....
Cowen is a beast on d, guys like Gonchar and Phillips and Kuba don't have to do as much....

Michalek is back to normal, looks healed from his knee surgeries, Condra has been a real find. Solid two way player....Foligno's and Turris are providing secondary scoring from their respective lines.....

And Anderson has been awesome. His record as a Senator is unreal:
36-21-5.

I think they're going to make the playoffs.

Well, no we wouldn't be if we were ten points behind you, but we're not. We're 5 points behind with three games in hand... You know what that works out to right? Until the Leafs blow or win the 3 games they have in hand on Ottawa, the sens are a target because of the mathematics...

Last year he wasn't, and this year he better be ahead of Desjardins, since Cedrick the magician is in Lake Erie once again putting up stellar numbers waiting for one of Varlamov or Giguerre to get hurt.

If I'm any team in need of goaltending right now, I go out and get this guy. The reason the habs signed him years back was Roy told his buddies gainey and carbonneau to do so. My guess why he hasn't gotten his shot is teams look at his size and say not an NHL goalie, yet the numbers have always said otherwise.

Yea, I'm not a Garon fan either. Roloson I like a lot, but I think he's lost a step this season.

lol, sorry, I'm just huge on Cowen. huddle has his type of d he likes, and I have mine. Count Cowen among them. I also have Anderson in my sim league so I'm always checking in to see how he plays....I'm waiting very patiently for the Alien Markstrom to become a NHL goalie

I don't want Nash, and hopefully carter keeps playing like crap so his value goes even further down.

Laugh at me if you must, but right now, the difference between a 27 year old Grabo compared to a 26 year old Stastny and a 27 year old Carter is minimal, except when you look at salary.

2010-11 Toronto NHL 81 29 29 58 14
2011-12 Toronto NHL 43 16 16 32 4

2010-11 Colorado NHL 74 22 35 57 -7
2011-12 Colorado NHL 48 13 17 30 -6

2010-11 Philadelphia NHL 80 36 30 66 27
2011-12 Columbus NHL 30 10 7 17 -9

- mykokes

but you would need 3 Grabos to acquire either of them, strange

Fair enough ,but that three game losing steak was at the end of our worse part of our schedual.6 games in 9 nights all on the road in the west .After boston we get back into the softer part .I dont think we will fall that bad but i guess you never know

I suppose...but just because a bag of money could fall in front of me while walking to grab a coffee later...I wouldnt predict it to happen ...I like to "play the odds" when predicting things, and odds are you guys will fall short of the playoffs when teams start to heat up. Doesnt mean you shouldnt chear and be optmistic though
