MAF was un-(frank)ing-believable in the game last night, OT especially. They probably lose that game 5-2 with Johnson in net. Also, T.J Oshie needs to find his way onto this team. That is all.

Now you all are starting to come over to my side of things.
Looking back to the link John provided to all of our picks before the season started is quite amusing. In hindsight alot of dumb picks. |

Would I want any of those 24 instead of Letang? humm yes you would! Letang is great don't get me wrong as I would take him on my team any day but he wouldn't even be my # 1 D on the Sens so imagine in the entire NHL?! comon! - Raven33
He'd be no 1 on my Sens if I was running the show. More minutes than Karlsson, actually throws hits, can block shots, plays a little PK too. And a points differential between .92 and .88 is negligible |

question for you, the masses....
Plasma or LED? I'm in the market for a new tube. I primarily watch sports and movies. The motion blur on the current LED we have with only a 60hz refresh rate is somewhat annoying. It's the only part of the ROOT broadcast I can't blame on them.
Is there a noticeable difference with the 120hz chip?
Thoughts? Anyone? Bueller? |

Who did I pick? Eberle? I'll stick with that if so Oshie is a beast though, I love how physical he plays. When he dropped Orpik when Orpik hit him my jaw dropped. |

Pass on plasma. The best picture you get on a plasma is the day you buy the TV. Everyday past that the quality will lower over time. If you play video games it is a bad idea as well because if you leave it on a paused screen for lengths of time it can mess with the picture in rare cases. I think the 120hz chip should be sufficient.
Truthfully I use cnet.com for all of my technological inquiries. I always use that site before a major electronics purchase. Use the editor reviews, but also just as important check out the user reviews. I love that site. |

3 things that jump out to me at the break:
Detroit's 20-2-1 record at home, including a 17 game win streak.
Boston's +69 goal differential, which has actually come down a little.
The Atlantic and Central combining for 8 playoff teams. |

Thanks. CNET is great. I'm to the point where I should just buy something and stop reading reviews and specs...information & evaluation overload has been reached I think.

One thing I do not give a damn about is 3D TV. Everyone seems eager to make you pay for, what I think, is an utterly useless feature in a television--unless you have one the size of a wall.
Can you imagine a ROOT Sports 3D broadcast? We'd miss half the game we would theoretically be sitting in the middle of. |

I'm with you 100%. My brother in law has one and it is more of an annoyance with the glasses and all than it is worth it. Technology is currently available to double the quality of a 1080p broadcast. Mind you that 1080p is only available on blue ray/ps3 and not through the dish or cable. The means of distributing the content in superior picture quality is lagging behind the actual technology itself. It will be years before we get that 2x 1080p stuff. Kinda sucks. |

If you have the space, a projector!
I made the switch 2 months ago and kicking myself for not doing it sooner!
I now have 155" 'TV' and the quality is just as good (if not better!) then LCD/DLP sets! And i'm not even projecting on a pricy screen, just on a painted wall (I did buy a specific type of paint though)
Works great with HD digital receiver, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 & Kinect!
Projector w/ tax just under $1,000 and the rest of the to patch, sand, prime and paint about $100.
Got a great deal on boxing day!
If that route interests you, lots of great details, reviews & tests at www.projectorcentral.com
Good luck!
EDIT: ...and it's not 3D! I hate 3D as well and can't wait until that fad is over! |

Thanks. I actually wanted a projector. I tried to convince my wife that the screen on the wall and a small, discreet stand to place the receiver and amp would actually be less of an eyesore than a flat screen and stand. She didn't buy it. I would much rather have a projector than a television. She argued that the room wasn't big enough. I told her you can adjust the settings/size of the image on the projector to fit the room and that I would only watch it on the 100 inch setting when she wasn't around. She didn't buy that either.
**EDIT** Maybe I should bring it up the subject again while I'm cleaning the kitchen after I make dinner later... |

True dat. It's great to bet that on our provincial lottery because any game decided within 5 points either way is considered a tie |

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a projector for our basement... How are they with normal room lighting on?
