It would be a start....

What would Hawks Fans feel is fair value??

- StanleyCupDreams

I like Schenn but the Leafs don't have what the Hawks would want from a forward perspective.

Kane trade is not going to happen. If a straight up deal for Nash was already turned down, you know Stanbow will not move him. Maybe his 'tude might have to do with hearing he was potentially bait for a deal.

The UC is sold out every night, there is a waiting list for season tickets, and they have the core for three more years. Develop your prospects, don't make stupid desperate moves, and you just might build a perennial contender.

No matter how hard we all will it to be, this year's Hawk team needs forty more points to make the playoffs in thirty two remaining games, of which twenty are on the road, and many of the games against premier teams.

The style of play this group is being asked to bring every night is no longer commensurate with the team's skills. The coaches are not playing them to their strengths, and show no signs of altering strategies.

There are too many holes to fill to make a weak finesse team strong enough to make a real run this year. And it's made worse by the fact that all they have to offer for trades are the roster problems they are trying to solve, or deals involving core players which will not result in NET beneficial enough outcomes to make a run legitimate.

Forget the Cup now - how about even making the playoffs?

And once again...not even close. Not even in the atmosphere.

Our captain
An 80pt winger

A first round selection that is looking like it could be a top 5 pick

And Buffalo has a large amount of talented prospects on defense

What else

Kane is presently the highest paid healthy forward on the Blackhawks. He is not playing like it.

Actually Hossa is the highest paid healthy forward at $7.9M.

An 80 point player in 2007-2008..

66 has been his highest since.

I don't mind the guy but not for Kane.. You'd have to include Tyler Myers

This is a franchise player.. (Allen Iverson)

The kid's 28th in the league in scoring, and it's time to deal him? He scored the cup winning goal, youngest in OT in history. I don't understand why anyone would deal him unless it was Stamkos or better. And Stamkos is a meager +1. Sheet, Ovechkin is a -4 at 39 points....time to deal him I suppose.

Agreed. A Kane trade is not going to happen.

Ship 88 to FLA for Campbell (WOW a REAL D MAN) Talon would drool to get him back! Lovie Quenneville would have his D 95% sewn up and use the $8 mill to secure a C and F. ????

I should also have added should not happen. Lots of ice cream and pizza eating kids wearing 88 jerseys at the UC.

Patrick Kane for Evander Kane?

Obviously there would have to be more included on both sides, but if Kane is on the Market, I think Jets should try and grab him.

Yeah, that would be a REASON to not consider an upgrade over the $6+ million/yr Flop.

You don't deal Kane for a defenseman. At least not a defenseman like Campbell.

I'd trade Parise and one of our top prospects (either Tedenby or Josefson) for Kane. If Zach don't want to resign that is.

Rick Nash is Kane in a bigger body. I had to laugh about Kane hanging out at the blue line cherry-picking. I watched Nash go flying out of the zone on 2 separate PK's against Anaheim when he assumed his defense was going to get control of the puck. Both times the Ducks regained control and once they scored on a "5 on 3". Be careful what you ask for JJ.

You essentialy traded Soupy so you could sign Sharp, ...Sharp IS earning his $$$ #88 isn't. A this team's D was MUCH better with #51 in the lineup....I'm must saying...

Wait, so your saying the Hawks need 104 points to make the playoffs? I don't think that is the case.... The Hawks would have to have an epic downfall to not make the playoffs this year. I love all the doom and gloom with this team. They have holes, as does everyone else! Every team can't be perfect..... you guys pretend like we are watching Columbus.

Those butts in the seats and the food and the booze help pay for winning teams.

Kane is just the latest whipping boy fans are throwing up as tradeable because they have not accepted the inevitable truth about this season yet.

I would trade Kane for Parise straight up assuming Zach would resign with the Hawks for a price that isn't outrageous.

Late in the game a lot of coaches will let guys do that..

Why do you think Kane was on the ice during a PK anyway? To do exactly that.. Try and get a breakaway. Harp on Q if you don't like that, not Kane..

???? You ALWAYS trade offense for defense. Now Campbell's contract probably wouldn't work but if the Hawks could get Weber or Suter for Kane...
