Well that is why some demographics in this country are in the toilet. Children out of wedlock, children having children. Not really the social building blocks to create a high functioning society. But hey, it felt great when I busted my nut. And you know what, when the government actually gives you more money for making terrible mistakes, you compound the problem more.

Yep, and we all pay the price for it...you should have to be in a certain tax bracket to have "x" amount of kids. Sounds terrible I know, but something has to be done.
- SabreHess

And psych tests.

I would say 30% of the kids in the handicapped classrooms you and I went to school with weren't born that way.

Their parents weren't ready or weren't mentally strong enough to have kids. When the baby cried they couldn't take it so, they bashed the babies skull in to shut them up.

True but they are a product of our country. We have a duty to bring others up. We cant just ignore a problem and blame a class of people.

The right wants to get rid of female services, the feds dont want to pay for birth control, abstinence is an actual form of education in schools

There is a problem but nobody wants to help fix it

No but they'll pay you more money for being poor, knocked up for the 4th time with no education or prospects. They oughta pay out $1500 to people to be sterilized. If any moron is dumb enough to take the $1500 they werent fit enough to be a parent anyways.

Im all for a welfare system. But its a poorly constructed one. Many people use it to get out of poverty and better themselves and many abuse it.

I'm not 100% against that. Some people can catch a bad break and suffer because of it. Those people deserve help.

HOWEVER. The attitude needs to be, I need to help myself first, then look for help. Not be a f*ck up and expect help.

"Help me, help you".

Government has been an enabler for quite a while. The famous JFK quote should be the country's attitude, it couldn't be further from it now.

There was a time when if you were on welfare a person came by the house every month.

You lost your benefits if there was someone living there that wasn't supposed to be. Had over a certain pairs of socks or undies.

Talk to depression era people.

Sad but true... I know people that went to jail because they couldn't take it having a baby crying all the time. Went to jail and their kids are now living with the mistake forever..

I became a parent for the first time at 33 and had/have a hard enough time of it. (I have three children.....) While being a parent is by far and away the most rewarding thing I've ever experienced it's also the most trying thing.

Just like a wife, kids don't have off switches.

Enter vodka....

With our military power. Governmental power. Police power. Media power. Their is no hope for a traditional call to arms or whatever. The majority of America is middle class, out of shape, complacent, and comfortable. The second a group of angry people get together it will be cornered and removed.

My theory it has to be crisis mode (plague, war, famine, economic collapse) for a huge civil uprising..I believe that time will come but will probably take quite some time (75-100 years) with the way things are going.

Many share the same disgust we share. Soldiers and police officers would and will have a hard time with the possibility of having to kill family members if it happened.

Like I said it's not as unimaginable as one may think.

As long as all the working poor (use whatever $$$ scale per specific area you like) that just scraping along have enough to buy at least one thing they like every paycheck, there won't be an uprising, despite the fact that they are being bent over on a monumental scale now more than at any time ever before in our history.

Three years ago I tore a tendon in my right wrist and went to the emergency room for medical assistance. At the time I had no insurance. I was only there for 2 hours, a nurse saw me, a doctor saw me, I had an X-Ray done, the doctor came back in and told me it was a partial tear and gave me a wrist brace stating surgery wasn't required.

Days later I got a bill for $2,200 from the hospital!! $800 of which was the X-Ray technician's fee (the x-ray took 5 minutes!).

My cousin who works at the same hospital summed it up perfectly. Look around you in the emergency room, you're probably the only one there with a legal social security number and the only one the hospital will ever see a dime from. So I'm the one who gets my wallet raped so the hospital can recoup costs associated with legally being responsible for treating people who are in this country illegally.

As big a joke as the occupy Wall Street and it's clones were to most people, that should be a warning sign to many of the higher ups because that is just the tip of the iceberg.

while your idea of a revolution is a military over throw of goverment.. there are other ways to go about it.. it all starts with the system we have in place and the leaders we keep putting in place. The problem is that it costs soo much to put run for an office and all the people with the money are the corrupt ones.

Different angle but the same could be said for unemployment. You used to have to PROVE in person that you applied at 'x' amount of companies on a weekly basis to qualify for your unenmployment check. We're talking 20+ years ago but I remember having to do that.

THen they implemented the phone call-in system with no checks or balances.

Thus the term "unenjoyment".

There is a guy here at work that says more good people should have kids, and I agree with that, but it just seems that there are too many people out there that have kids and are not on the responsible end of the food chain. Plus, there are tons of responsible couples out there that cant have kids, but it costs somewhere in the range of $20K to adopt a child!

It is a service they provide and it is a business that needs to make money to continue to provide said service. The building isn't free the doctors aren't free. they get stiffed on so many bills that once that one doesn't get paid they pass that amount on to the next guy.. Since your options are limited and it is a service most people need people still show up. Not sure about you but i am thankful for hospitals and would like to say if it was not for them my son wouldn't still be here today

Yep the cops were spending their own money and dropping off coffee and doughnuts to those people downtown. I went down there to see what it was all about. The problem is there's no "leader" and all the occupies have a different motive. They're pissed but they don't know at what. They want change but have no solutions. If they ever get organized country/worldwide, change can happen.

This situation is all over the place too.

Bankruptcy, insurance fraud, larceny. All these things being committed by the leeches of our society is what causes me to pay more for my groceries, pay more for my auto/homeowners insurance, pay higher interest rates on my credit cards, etc...

Shall I whine more ???

Thank you. I feel better...

I'm not dissing hospitals at all. I'm referring to the system that we have in place in this country that forces me to have to pay for being a citizen.
