So how are you going to acquire those kind of players in Buffalo again? Free agency? Trade? Good luck.

As for the Penguins, those players got their raises. Players like Gonchar, Scuderi, Gill, Malone, Sykora, Fedotenko, Whitney, Goligoski, Talbot become casualties. Lucky for me I am a fan of a team that has a GM that understands the system and has plenty of young promising defensemen that help replenish the cycle whether they play for the Penguins or are flipped for pressing needs. IE: The Whitney/Goligoski trades that yielded Kunitz, Neal, and Niskanen.

hahah no i know its not.. but Leino and Boyes both prefer Wing.. whereas Stoll is an actual proven Center who is good in the dot and scores points

Leino 4.5 Million...
Hecht 3.5 Mill
Roy 4.0 Mill
Boyes 4.0 Mill
Staff 4.0 Million

That is 15 million in cap space that I wish/hope they get rid of... then go after Parise, Ruutu, or Jarret Stall...

You don't have to wish/hope too hard, Hecht and Boyes are gone at the end of this season anyway. And I'd bet atleast one of the other 3 is moved either by the deadline or in the offseason. That'll be atleast $11-12 million off the books.

i have to think that we would trade hecht and boyes at the deadline if someone wants them.. i think we should move goose.. this season is a punt, send the defense out and re-group for the next series type of season.. why not bring up szczczzchura, whitmore, brennen and finley and see if they are worth holding on to any longer.. give Kassian more time in the NHL..

Goose is the only guy on the Sabres at Center that is worth a dang right now.. and that not saying much... He wins in the dot.. He is one the best in the dot almost every year if I am not mistaken.. This year he is basically a goon who protects Miller.. thats for McCormick and Kaleta

I already said that "the core" needs to traded... did you miss that part!!?? Vanek, Pommer, Ennis, and Gerbe are the only offensive guys I see value in keeping..

It might be flawed to pay top dollar for talent but Buffalo has to do things.. we can not just say.. hey.. "we are montreal.. or hey we are pitt" and people will sit down and listen
