im not so sure about that one
brodeur has been strong lately, both the losses had nothing to do with him - nocupslugs
He is inconsistent. If you take a look at the stats Marty has some pretty awful ones this season, a lot worse than Moose's. |

Especially with Poni and Josefson.
On LW we have Kovalchuk, Parise, Poni (Elias)
At C, we have Henrique, Zajac, Josefson (Elias)
At RW, we have Zubrus, Sykora, Clarkson
The thing is all of our players play multiple position as just about everyone but Poni, Clarkson, Parise, and Kovalchuk can play center if need be.
Just for fun.
Kovalchuk-Josefson-Henrique
Parise-Zajac-Zubrus
Sykora-Elias-Clarkson
However, this has Poni on the fourth line. - nocupslugs
If Henrique moves to RW, which I doubt he will but I'd think he'd play with Parise. And if Josefson and he are on a line Josefson would change positions probably. Not sure if Deboer is going to break Parise and Kovy up unless they go on a huge slump... |

moose has been inconsistent, gives up late game tying goals, and a very high percentage of his wins come via shootout |

Regardless we might want to consider taking some shots. I believe those are necessary to score goals. |

We are playing down to their level.
The Sabres look lifeless and so do we. If we came out with purpose and urgency, we could've scored already. |

I don't know why Chico is surprised we aren't scoring. Screening the goalie isn't just enough. You need somebody who can actually bring it to the net to get some big rebounds. |

He was too late on that screen. Just a step behind. The shot went off before Zubrus was in front. No good. Zubrus needs to be there before the shot goes off.
It seems like now we are just trying point shots with screens. |

Which is great if we actually had guys who were in front of the goalie when shots were happening. I'd prefer to see more cycling. At least that gets defenders tired.
Oh yeah, great goal here. |

It's not the visor that would matter, it's his constant turtling... |

so what?
our 4th line is mediocre at best!
If Poni ends up on the 4th line than so be it. It only means we have great depth!
I still think
Kovy-Elias-Sykora
Parise-Zajac-Zubrus
Poni-Henrique-Clarkson
Carter-Josefson-Boulton/Janssen
I just don't think Zajac is going to be the 1st line Zajac we've seen in the past |

or if the team scores 2 goals per game. .. half of their goals come off the PP and PK rather than together on an even strength line.
split them up. That line works.. but i'd rather have 2 strong lines. The Elias line is good.. but all 3 lines would be better if they were split. |

- Our need for PMD is evident tonight.
- Larrson looks a little lost tonight
- It always seems that we wait to long to shoot and in turn it gets blocked or we are forced to shoot wide or dump it in the corner. |
