Had a bad feeling about tonight....two turnovers end up right up slot and in the net!

Did you see Craw slam the stick!!

Decent start in the offensive zone but mistakes again killing this team.

So what's the excuse tonight?!?!

Hawks now in uphill climb just to get a chance for a point!

Crawford has zero confidence.. Nashville tried the dump in on him again and it almost worked. Why doesn't he just grab the puck and cover it?

Everyone use to rave about his calmness last season... NOPE!

And another NO HITTER by the Chicago Soft Hawks. I'm sick of this weak-kneed philosophy that Stanbow is pushing. SICK OF IT.

Im sure Q thought starting him tonight would build his confidence if he played well and we won..if we lose, he has 6 days to let this sink into his head...

Bickell in and Frolik sitting? Anyone have insight into this?

Bickell playing, but Frolik not. Didn't hear about an injury, so I do find this a little odd.

Surprising - then again, maybe not - that they would talk about the need to tighten things up defensively tonight, especially without Toews and Sharp, yet in the first period they have two awful giveaways and of course both end up in the net. Wasn't expect much tonight under the circumstances, but getting even less. I'm at the mindset now that a 4-0 or 5-0 loss might spur Bowman to do something, perhaps sooner than he planned. With the division and conference as tight as they are, I'm not sure how much longer he can wait to address the defensive ineptitude of this team.

I am sorry this team is a mirage despite their point total. Their defensive liabilities continue to get exposed with the puck finding the back of the net.

Unfored giveaways with clear control. Hornquist quicks it to the slot with 3 Hawks triangulating....

Leddy misplays a puck on the point and has to work overtime to prevent a shorthanded breakaway...and he's lucky he didn't get called for a hook. SIGH.

With a goalies like Rinne, Lundquist, Thomas even Niemi in the net...you have a great chance every nite.

That is a luxury the Hawks do not have and with their ability to set it up for the other and leave C2 or Emery out to dry. Forget it.

No way they score 3 on Rinne tonight.

See you after the break!!

I'm betting on another whitewash . . .

Meanwhile, anyone see Q on the bench?

Clueless.
Absolutely clueless.

It's one thing to force your GM's hand and get some help. It's also quite another thing to take whatever talent you do have and make the most of it. This is something that Q clearly is unable to pull off.

Hell, we can't even put up a decent fight in a fight (Montador had his a$$ handed to him).

Can't score 4 every night - between the defense and the goalie, that's what they need to do.

Kaner's on his forehand, he's got a step on the defender, he's in a good shooting position and he bails out, gets too cute with the spin o rama and misses anyway. Just crap.

As a Preds fan, I am surprised so many are down on the Hawks. Sitting here watching the game, I am not nearly as confident that Chicago can't score 3 on Rinne. Rinne is good, and even elite in many cases, but our defense is prone to boneheaded mistakes.

I wouldn't be too worried about the Hawks. Once Toews and Sharp return, Chicago will start destroying the competition. I put Chicago in the same bucket as Nashville and Detroit. All 3 Teams are 1 player away from being playoff dominent. Nashville needs a top 6 forward, Chicago a veteran D man, and Detroit a bottom 6 veteran. I think the Chicago goalie situation will fix itself once the team gets healthy. Nashville has the hardest asset to acquire, but all 3 teams could wreak havoc in the playoffs. I am not sold on St. Louis a I see them as Nashville about 3 years ago: Young and inexperienced, but not enough playoff experience to advance.
