Sooo if we take Tim's comments regarding why he didn't attend as the truth. It really has nothing to do with Obama at all. Tim resents the American government as a whole and is that really that hard to understand why? Everything he basically said it's spot on and why isn't he aloud to stand up in protest if he wants? It's his decision and I actually respect him more for it.

The American government is out of control taking peoples rights and freedoms, I wish there was more people like Tim Thomas willing to stand up for what he believes in.

I'm sure most of you would understand if a tree hugger didn't go to a Nuclear power plants party due to their beliefs. He could have sent a stronger message by going and talking face to face with one of the only persons in the world that can change the way his country is being run. That being said I really dont care either way,this should be a non issue. Just feel kinda bad for his teammates as the focus should have been on them not TT's political views.
