on another note t thomas did not go to the white house - JerryKorab
his reasoning was apolitical and sound, imo |

Enroth is very good. Is it beyond possibility to trade Miller? - the_cause2000

This is a lost season for you guys. Time to take advantage of it.
You need to do what Carolina has been so successful at doing. When they are bad they are really bad and get a very high draft pick as a result that they turn into players like Eric Staal. Then they bounce back quickly to be competitive right away.
You are in a good spot with an owner willing to spend to the cap. So dump whatever you can at the trade deadline to get good prospects or draft picks. Look at what Ottawa did last year dumping Kelly, Fisher, Kovalev, Ruutu and loading up with picks. If you can unload some bad contracts all the better.
You can restock the farm system with the prospects and high draft picks and use some of the owners money to fill in some free agents in the summer.
If you do it right you can be quite competitive again next year and much better off long term due to the stud you can draft with a lottery pick.
Turn one really bad season into something good longterm. |

I could see us finishing dead last and losing the lottery and getting the second pick |

We are 10 points out of a playoff spot and 11 points out of the basement. Anything is possible. My barista told me that we will continue to head South and draft a lotto pick. |

Im up for a fire sale just like everyone else...ESPECIALLY if we could make a parise for miller trade...start next year with Vanek - Parise - Pommer
Gaustad, Hecht, Kaleta, Leopold, Gragnani, Sekera, Roy, and Boyes all gone. |

He has an unlikable personality. His stunt with Kessel shows all you need to know about him. Throw all the Caps/Pens stuff aside, I don't think I would like him any more or less. He is a punk. |

the caps have had talent for years, the sharks as well...the rags bought talent for years, the fly-boys traded for talent for years...
talent is a good thing, but more is needed |

Can't say I'm all that surprised of the collapse.... Bad UFA signings will tie this teams hands for a long time. A decade of Ehroff... |
