I agree with you. If he doesn't want to go it's his business. I just don't understand his objection to going. I read his statement and I didn't understand what his objections to the US Goverment in general had to do with going to an awards assembly.

I had no intention of this turning into a religious discussion. You made the statement and I honestly had no idea that people felt this way. I'm not a religious person, but I've taken a few religion classes in college. I read both the New and Old testaments. I still don't understand why a synagogue would offend a Christian.

And Thomas said by not going that he will not have any affiliation with a Government that is set on battling eachother rather then fixing any problems.

I wasnt aware the Bruins were playing hockey at the white house, and the team needed Thomas to play goal. Maybe Thomas decided the $20,000.00 spent per person in tax payer money for his special dinner would be better served else where...
