Based on his last three games, he is playing better than he currently was. Your only concern is you think he is letting in a soft goal every game. I thought yesterday that Bryzgalov played as well as Thomas.
- stveshdy

fair enough.

it is your opinion that he made a bunch of quality saves!

Fact is he allowed a goal he should have stopped (Maybe even 2 goals if you ask Bill). That isn't opinion, that is fact.

Again, you point of view isnt spin but mine is. Stop being so close minded as in to think that your point of view is the only one.

Are you saying he didn't make a bunch of quality saves?

Seriously, that's all you can ask right now, and I think he's doing that. He isn't going to get Vezina calibur form back overnight. There's a process here

EDIT:Ill bet when they break that one down, Lava will have more to say to Gussy than bryz.. You cant let a guy get wide open like that on the doorstep. It never ends up good.

- jak521

Yup Gus was just as guilty...can't let a guy stand in the crease in front of u like that. Ill admit, I was seething at Bryz for that goal but you're right, Gus equally at fault

I thought he was better than Thomas.. Had it been Bryz who got repeatedly smoked on the short side... he would have been hung by now.

I'll explain it to you. Those number are used to show improvement. To back up my opinion that he is showing improvement. Pretty simple.
- MJL

don't need an explanation

you are just saying we need to go forward from his last 3 gms. if he has subsequent bad gms, the numbers blow up and you'll just have to pick a new starting point. let's hope the performances are good on balance from here out.

Please go back and read the whole exchange. My point was to show that he was using his opinion to make a point.

You have a right to be concerned. Bryz is playing much better but he still needs to be better for this team to be successful. Some of that can be put on defense and some has to be on himself.

Sestito did a nice job yesterday. You cant ignore his physical play out on the ice.
- stveshdy

He was a hitting machine.

I loved that every time he was out against Chara he went rite at him.

Exactly.

That is all I am saying.

I want Byz to be the guy to carry this team and to steal a game or 2!

GOOO cool Bryz!

Not to "hate" on Shelley but I think Sestito gives you more and should have a roster spot on this team over him. I thought Shelley did a nice job over the weekend as well but Sestito impressed me enough to make that change.

Flyers team defense has shown improvement.

Bryz is still letting in back-breaking goals.

Good point. Grass is always greener....

Even tho they lost, I couldn't help myself waking up this morning smiling while thinking of what Schenn displayed yesterday. What a game and once the points start to come more consistently, he may take off

Flyers team defense was directly at fault for about 4 goals.. arguably 5.

Thomas had a full lineup yesterday with no injuries. Bryzgalov has two rookie defenseman and 6 rookie forwards playing yesterday. I thought the Flyers as a team did a great job.

The Flyers playing the dump into the corner and clobber their d-man strategy, worked well yesterday.

isn't team defense arguably at fault for every goal scored against?

not interested in injury excuses.

Not interested in what the other teams goalie did or didn't do.

I still hate that they blew a 3rd period lead, makes me insane.

Happens too often for a top 10 NHL IMO

An ogre trying to win a roster spot. Has more on-ice value than Shelley.

Schenn was a hitting machine.

That was fun to watch. And his open ice hit was textbook! What a beauty!

best game i saw this year, im happy with the point because we are missing prongs, briere, jagr who are a huge chunk of this team, to have 8 rookies and 2 being on d i thought we played a heII of a game.

the effort that everyone showed blew my mind, it was a playoff preview and being down a couple guys and hanging in there like we did against the defending scc's being fully healthy says alot.

talbot has taken my appreciation to another level towards him, he does it all, worth every penny he gets.
