No. It's a big deal for the dads. And they really love it (as do the guys) getting to be NHL dads and wear the jerseys and go out with all their kids...can you imagine your son playing in the NHL? So I get it.

the ice is bad. and the locker rooms were built for hobbits. and sometimes the central light above one of the goals is out. and the bathrooms are pretty gross. and the pro shop has gear from 1997. and they never cut my skates properly. other than that, it's great.

Nah, that's like blaming Bryzgalov for everything the entire team gets wrong.

I'd skate on baldes right out of the box before allowing them to sharpen my skates. ok bit over the top but you get what I mean. Honestly I will only allow once place to sharpen mine. I hated playing there. Doesn't surprise me one bit about the air quality.

Wintersports was run by the Jewel (spelling?) family in the 70s. The old man was a drunk. The local teams stopped playing us because they kept mis-scheduling the games. We'd show up in Bristol at 5:00 AM only to fiind out the game was really in Valley Forge. I remember when he drove the zamboni thru the boards. That's also where I was taught how to check someone over the boards. No lie, we praticed it...a bunch of Pee Wees throwing each other over the boards! Good stuff.
