got your point, but all sports fans--especially on the east coast--are monumentally stupid and shortsighted.
- OrangeBlack27

I liked the Farg better when it was Flyers fans - and not Eagles fans in Flyers clothing - in the building.

shootouts are such a lame way to end a game. specially such a good one like yesterday. might as well have a fastest skater competition to decide a game.

19 Flyer wins in the shootout. I wonder who has most of them? Esche, Biron, Nitty?
- hockeylover

19-39 I believe is what the shootout record is, I hate the shootout, but it makes it all the more despise worthy that the Flyers are the worst in the NHL in shootouts. Simply no excuse to be the worst at anything.

They were going to that if the score was still even after each team's third shooter.

I am sure folks in Boston are calling for Tuukka Rask to take over today in light of yesterday's performance by Tim Thomas.

Or not. Because Boston fans are more even-tempered and sensible than our own.

- Flyskippy

or not because Tim Thomas won them a cup last year.

or not because Tim Thomas still has a 2.12 GAA and .933 sv% on the year.

Do either of those apply to Bryz? Boston fans aren't any more even-tempered or sensible than the Flyers fans. If Thomas was putting in a season like Bryz has so far, they'd be talking about it as well.

Personally, I am not basing any decision off of yesterday but if he doesn't become consistantly better then it is time for Bob to see some time against the top teams to see how he fares.

Well said! Still on pace for a 105 point season, which considering the roster turnover, injuries, youth, and sub par play from Bryzgalov is pretty damn good.
- PLindbergh31

agree w/ both of you. the compete level is markedly better than last yr and it has to be w/ all of the adversity.

With the talent we have, you'd think we'd be better at it. Roo should take all 3 shots although Briere isn't bad.. JVR's shooting 100% for his career.

Try being Buffalo or Toronto even. 0 Championships since 93 for TO. I'd go bonkers if my Bears made it to the SB fours straight years and lost.

0 FOR 4 over 4 years straight would just be too much to bear. My God I don't know how that town survived.

I relaly want him to sort his play out as when the teams are worried about every shot going in, they lose confidence in the tender..start diving all over the place to block shots etc.. as we all know, it can be deflating... Simply put, you have to have confidence in your goalie like he has to have confidence in his D and forwards to come back. Simply put..5 goals should have been enough yesterday and it will have to be enough down the stretch or we are not going far.

The shooters aren't the main issue. Need the goaltender to make some saves in shootouts.

I love my sports, and the Flyers are by far my fave sports team. If they were in the SCF 4 years straight and lost all four..i'd be losing it.

If Thomas' save % was .895 and gaa were 3+, I'm sure a good amount of them would be calling for Rask.

ASG fill-ins: Jordan Eberle in for Mikko Koivu, Kris Letang in for Dustyin Byfuglien. Nick Johnson in for RNH in rookie portion.

Would really like to see Hartnell get the nod, but I'm sure this whole team could use a few days off so I don't mind. I just like to see guys get recognized for their accomplishments.

Queneville said today that Toews isn't going to play in the all-star game due to injury.

I was just catching up on twitter and saw that. Would be nice for him to be selected if Toews can't go.

Nitty has won the most games for the Flyers in the shootout with 7. After him, it's Biron with 4.

Leighton and Emery on the only 2 with a winning record in them.

Leighton is 1-0 and Emery was 2-1.

Any hopes for Hartnell now? Yes I understand that Toews plays in the west but the Hawks also have 2 other forwards playing in the game.
