Dude I was so disappointed with that movie. Pacioretty made it seem like it was a riot, but I thought it so 'meh'. - tyanderson
Hey you got the favorable call from the Campbell Family Reunion, big Lurch got off free, not sure what you are so disappointed about. |

agreed I thought the Kelly hit was fine. Standing there like a mutant two feet from the goal with your head down? You have to expect contact there. - Cape Breton Bruins
How did you see the supposed non call on the lucic goal. Horton ran some interference on Coburn. I thought it was a good non call bc Horton was holding the blue line. Most people in flyers thread thought it shouldve been called. In that case, I think the blue line has to be taken into consideration there |

With so much talk about the Bruins being a dirty team, not much has been said about the Flyers calling up a goon who's been suspended twice this year already just so he can run around delivering high/late hits. I know a lot of people around here will be happy if Hortons hurt so cue the "Karma" posts. |

It's simple....if you're going to make holding up the forwards along the boards an interference penalty, then you have to have no touch icing. If two players are going after the puck at 25 MPH, this is going to happen....purposeful or not.
Of course, on the purposeful side....get rid of the stupid instigator penalty....note I did not say the third man in, or leaving the bench penalties, which is the nonsensical argument I usually get when I say this. A good beating might make someone think twice about trying to take an opponent's head off, or committing blatant stick fouls. Sometimes, less regulation is best.... |

I missed most of the game, to be honest. Watched the Pats-Ravens game, which was a great game, for sure. Gonna catch the midnight rebroadcast, but yeah, my iPhone was buzzing with scoring updates/penalty alerts. Huge box score, too. - tyanderson
What? didtn have two tv's running? Plenty of stopages in football to switch back and forth.
Ugly win but we'll take it.
I still dont think what ferrance did was any worse that PK Subban elbowing Krejki last well but time to move on. |

Its Also called staying on-side. if Horton doesnt engage with the 2 flyers he would have been off-side by a foot.
I do enjoy the Bruins playing Teams like the Rags and Flyers there seems to be so much LESS crying and whining about the Bullys in Black and Gold, wonder why that is |

Sestito is not a goon. He is a more under-developed power forward, with a pesty side to him.
It actually shocked a lot of Flyer fans that he went out there and challenged Looch. He is known to be a bit of a spot-picker, but he was active and played his role to a tee yesterday.
The Horton hit was clean, he caught him watching the play and the timing was perfect.
I really don't know what you expect. Even though the Flyers lost they played Boston like Boston plays other teams. Its what they had to do giving their injury situtation. |

WE LIKE THAT, that way we don't have to listen to the whiney little girls complaining they play too hard on their little angels.
On the Horton Hit it was the Angle that sucked, Thats All |

Yep Sestito was fine, came close to the line a couple times but didn't cross it. Nothing wrong with it and he seems willing to back it up so that's good. |

No way. As we speak I'm producing and editing a Daily Show video to show how the Flyers are the dirtiest, most hypocritical team in the league. Someone's got to blow the lid off this conspiracy.
Should be ready in a few months. |

I know it's hip and cool to hate Boston right now. But hasn't Philly always brought the physical game? Pot calling the kettle black...

the delay in the news came with a report that the NHL was awaiting the final word on McDonagh's injury. - tyanderson
This is the one thing that bothers me the most about "Justice" in the NHL.
Either a hit was illegal or it wasn't. The injury should not be a factor in the punishment. If the NHL can identify illegal hits and punish based on that standard, players will have a better understanding of what not to do. Otherwise, its a crapshoot because every person will react differently and will be effected differently by any given hit.
