Seems fair to me.

Ference turns towards McD and puts his arms out, but pushes him in the back instead of fully riding him into the boards.

I'd guess that there is no intent to injure, and with McD hopefully being okay, 3 games seems fair.

The NHL is attempting to send enough messages that these players have a first reaction of slowing down and tying the player up instead of hitting them into the boards. Hopefully it works.

It's just absolutely nonsensical. I cannot be more adamant when I say that the Andrew Ference hit was dirty, reckless, and worthy of a suspension. I've said in multiple blogs and threads. Then again, I should not be shocked by this when looking at the affiliations.

That was a ridiculous amount of PK time. Don't think we're gonna have much success if we continue to have 7 straight penalties. Nice to see the 2 points though. Back on top!

I missed most of the game, to be honest. Watched the Pats-Ravens game, which was a great game, for sure. Gonna catch the midnight rebroadcast, but yeah, my iPhone was buzzing with scoring updates/penalty alerts. Huge box score, too.
