Only if the Preds trade JVR to the Leafs... - Flyfreaky
JVR for Schenn was almost a deal but then Burkie had to get greedy and wanted a 1s t also |

I must be a homer then because I don't see it as unimaginable that Kadri turns out to be just as good as Hodgson... who I don't hold in as high regard as Canucktards obviously... but to throw in Schenn and a 1st to sweeten the deal? That seems like a ridiculous trade proposal to me... lol - SofaKingBored
Yeah I may have overreacted re: Hodgson because of the retarded proposal I saw above.
Schneider is worth something though. I think he is the real deal and he is young. If I am Burke, I am seriously trying to get him out of Vancouver. The Leafs goaltending is below average, and that is being kind. I think Burke would be in a bidding war (and he won't be available this year anyway).
... What I keep wondering about, and fearing, is that Burke decides to take on the Luongo contract.

That is exactly true.
The idea that the Leafs would have to give up anything of actual value to help Tampa get out of Malone's deal is ridiculous.
in typical Burke fashion, the trade would look more something like this...
Komisarek for Malone + some good young Tampa prospect because we are taking the extra year of bad salary. - GoneFullRetard
komisarek for malone straight up would be fine.
malone can still play, and would fit nice in the top 6
...elite? hell no-but a lot more useful to the Leafs than Komisarek as a 6th, 7th dman. |

Whoever is making these idiot Malone to TO runours knows squat about hockey. Have they seen Malone's cap hit for the next 3 seasons? Brian Burke is not a stupid man. Yes Yzerman was at the ACC last night, guess that's where this crap started. But seriously folks, look at Tampa's roster & think about what the Leafs need. St.Louis? No, he's too old for what TB would want in return. Lecavalier? That ridiculous cap hit makes unmovable. Malone? See above. Leaving out Stamkos for a sec, everyone else on the TB roster wouldn't help the Leafs, except for Stamkos. However Yzerman will NEVER move him. So I don't see a trade possible between the Bolts & Leafs, so I'm going to assume that Yzerman was there to scout the Canadiens & not the Leafs. - GCHonda
I could definitely see the Habs trading for Malone though... |

More like
Kadri + Schenn + 1st for Scheider -OR- Hodgson

If the Flyers wants Weber, it will take Claude Giroux, a dman (probably Carle) and a 1st round pick. But I really hope both Weber and Suter stays in Nashville, especially Weber, he's our captain, he's the heart and the soul of the team, he can't be traded.
About Beauchemin, I hope he stays in Anaheim, unless Québec gets a team, then I hope he gets traded to the Nordiques. - Supernick
Giroux for Weber straight up
Not adding more
Giroux is the best player in the deal

Malone can still be an effective player and the Leafs desperately need some size in their top 6.
Big contracts are moveable....giguere for blake and toskala is an example.
Komisarek, Lombardi for Malone and Moore. |

The only thing is that the Leafs D is green. Schenn makes mistakes, Gunarsson makes mistakes, Franson makes mistakes so how does trading Komi makes us better? |

a physical force who can chip in some goals is a more glaring need than ANOTHER dman who makes more mistakes than the green D. |

Interesting. It is the kind of deal I could see happening.
Not that it is a *good* deal. The truth is that the Leafs rebuild is maybe halfway. Taking on Malone, who is declining even as we speak is probably just dumb.
I would not mind some vets, but they have to be short term and cheap.
Tank nation has to arise... and pray that we suck so badly that Burke has no choice but to fire Wilson. |

If the Leafs land Malone, it will be perhaps the stupidest move Burke has made. Considering he re-upped Wilson for a year... that is saying something. - GoneFullRetard

As a Flyer fan, you forget this past summer your team traded 2 top solid centers? Now if you trade Giroux, you won't have a true #1 center so u become useless up the middle as the Leafs. |

Lets be honest, it'd be a sideways deal, but the only way we get out of Komisareks deal is to take on another idiot contract.
I just think Malone would help the Leafs a helluva lot more than Komisarek.
He's got some skill still, he brings a physicallity up front the Leafs desperately need. |

No matter who the Flyers look to acquire, they will do so without trading Giroux, Couturier and Schenn. |
