there is a track record for FAs having lousy 1st yrs and recovering. this yr just might be like that for bryz. considering all of the youth we have, maybe it's better to transition the rest of our roster carefully, avoiding the overpmt for a vet that won't be w/ us going forward...hang on to top 2 draft picks too. - isaiah520

thats good to see them joking like that, shows that they are a close group and as things go on that is important esp when adversity hits. Love this group of guys and like it has been stated I want a Dman like Gleason or Gill but ONLY at the cost of a ADK guy we dont expect to see and a draft pick

They should draft the best players available, regardless of position. It's not as if they ignore drafting defensemen. In the 5 drafts that Holmgren has been the GM for, they have selected 8 defensemen, out of 29 picks. So almost 25% of the time, they have grabbed a defenseman.

really like the kids on this team. I dont think Weber is a possibility. I hope they do what they can to sign Suter, and hopefully that doesnt mean giving up a decent pick for his rights I would be cool with the flyers packaging their picks to move up in the first and get a young stud dman. Im cool with that cause they always seem to hit when selecting forwards.
I would be cool with the flyers packaging their picks to move up in the first and get a young stud dman. Although I hear the draft is better for depth than star power.
