What?

Flyers played just as good as the B's.

- Yosimar89

Yea and when the Flyers played just as good last year with a different goalie they got a 7-5 loss with no points. This year with half the top forwards being injured and replaced by rookies we got a point out of it and scored the same amount.

The past is the past. That's over. He has to move forward, and so do we. No on refutes that Bryzgalov has not played to expectations this year. I'm disapointed in his overall play also. So much that I wanted him to share time with Bobrovsky moving forward. But I'm seeing progress in his game. And I'm expecting him to keep getting better.
- MJL

we can hope he'll play better, but he is the one who has to move forward,we have every right to think, "show me".

He played good enough to get us to the shootout that we probably shouldn't have been in.
- JoeRussomanno

3 goals/gm, .895 sv %...nowhere to run from those numbers. he simply has to outperform them going forward and I'll be rooting for that.

Im sold on Sestito. He is a bigger cheaper replacement for Shelly. I like his size, his fire, and it seems like he can move for a big guy.
- MBFlyerfan

yeah, I like the kid. Obviously with all the injuries he should have a few games to make an impression.

I wore it to the game this past Tuesday. Not one smart ass comment from anyone.

McLean was a great Canuck too. Luongo just passed him on the Canucks all-time win list yesterday.

i got into a fight last year with a flyers fan over jvr. he was just poopting all over him the whole game - i finally had had enough and told him to shut the (frank) up. i was wearing a winter classic lindbergh and the guy starts on my jersey, saying i'm not a real fan and probably just got the jersey or something. he turns around and shows me his mel bridgeman #10 and says i probably don't know who that is. i proceed to pummel him with information. i moved my seat for the 3rd period. jvr scored in the 3rd. the whole section stood up and heckled the bumhole.

the whole thing was pathetic.

I think he's showing signs that he's moving forward. I think he took steps in that direction this weekend. It's a process, not an overnight happening. We as fans also have to look at each game objectively, and not with the past or the numbers affecting that objectivity.

Watching the 49'ers / NYG game, and the home crowd's chants of 'Lets go 9ers!' sound just like 'Lets Go Flyers!'.

Just food for thought but, Bryzgalov had a similar season a few years ago in phoenix. He responded the following season with a performance that got him nominated for the Vezina. Could be one of those years for him.
- JoeRussomanno

my gut says that it is one of those years...where he just doesn't quite find the handle. i hope i'm wrong.

We also have to look at how he's rebounded when he's had struggles in the past. He had a bad year in Phoenix, and rebounded extremely well, finishing as a finalist for the Vezina.

The guy is a talented goalie, who has had a solid career. He needs to be better and he has gotten better, and dealt well with rebounding from struggles in the past.

And he's got some semblance of skill, had 16 points in 31 games this season.
