As long as Bryz can sort out his issues.

Bryz is a mess. I don't know what is going on there but he needs to be 100 times better then he has been up to this point.

i have a feeling he's just not going to do that this season. hopefully he does, but i think it's not going to be until next year where he finds his game.

Ohh (frank) I can tell this place is about to explode.

But just to clarify. Bryzgalov's game was not a negative today?

It sure as hell wasnt positive. A neutral non factor?

Will definately agree they (offense and D) played a hell of a game against one of the top teams. Cooties and Schenn showed up big time.

No it was not a negative. He made some key saves today to help get them a point, and get to OT.

Great game today. Very proud of my team. There are zero negatives for me today for this game. Took 3 out of 4 points. Well done.
- MJL

Hopefully this shows people that the B's aren't as unbeatable as some people around here were making them out to look.

Are they good hell even a great team? Yes, but they are VERY much beatable.

Respect them, but never fear them.

I dont think the Flyers can go into the playoffs playing two rookies on defense. Its an area of need that should be upgraded by the TDL.
- stveshdy

No doubt but I would prefer the Flyers don't trade a pick from the first 2 rounds of this year to do it.

For me.

Unless Bryzgalov shows some real signs. A stretch of games, not just one or two of coming out of his funk there is no need to give away picks or players at the TDL.

This team will win jack poop unless he steps up.

Lets also not forget that Read and Simmonds didn't exactly get great shots off on their attempts. Matter of fact, Read simply lost the puck. Meanwhile, Krecji and Seguin both had nearly unstoppable attempts.
- Duran76

but why does that ALWAYS happen? the flyers have the worst SO record in the league all-time.

They gave the best team in the League all they could handle missing 3 top 6 forwards, and their best defenseman. This is not a game that you come away from doubting your team. This is a game you come away from believing in your team.

Your defense has to be good in your own end or it really doesnt matter who the goalie is.

Some will think otherwise, Bryz played well to get a point but some will be stupid and disagree. Flyers got a point and played a hell of a game. I dunno why some are crying about Bryz. Enjoy it and move on for (frank)s sake

the flyers played them physically today and dominated for good stretches of the game, without 4 key players. i believe they can beat boston if they play the way they did today.

They just got (frank)ed out of a point, because they have a goalie that has the confidence of a 16 teen year old kid going to his first dance.

Blaming the refs for this game is an excuse. Or stating that Bryzgalov had "more" saves than Thomas. Thomas made a hell of a lot more quality saves.

Im not going to debate this. I personally think Bryz let them down.

These kind of high scoring games where they have to basically make Ilya a non factor are getting too predictable. He needs to find his game. The Flyers wont score 5 goals against the top teams of the league every night.

- flyer_nutter

If that's the case then no use blaming the goalie. Also last year around this time the Flyers found themselves in a similar situation with Boston, The result was 7-5. Bryz kept them in the game. Maybe in a real overtime instead of this gimmick stuff, they get the win. Either way he made plenty of big saves unfortunately the Flyers aren't quite good enough just yet. Hoping a goalie who is inferior to theirs, which isn't knocking him Thomas is THE best, to win a game against them, oh wait he did, opening night, game in and game out just isn't reasonable.

Maybe it's just hindsight, but i would've loved to have seen Bob play this game...

If anything just to see how he does against "tougher" competition like some people were suggesting after he's played so well against "Scrubs".

No, they just got a point against the top team in the League, in which the Goalie helped them to do so.

Not the goalie.

If the upper management thinks the way you do, the Flyers won't win a cup for the next 8 years. LOL
