He left the game yesterday in the second period and did not return. Really unbelievable run of poor luck on the injury front lately.

Yeah, I watched it as well, I saw where he was slow to get up at the end of a period, it seems that could be the culprit...key now is him getting healthy

A video was posted on page 1 of the Volchenkov hit. Here's the thing that I think has to change. Don't ask me how to do it because it would mean players changing how they played all of their Hockey lives. But the Forward has Briere sealed off, and Briere has passed the puck. Briere is looking at where he passed the puck. Briere is vulnerable there and Volchenkov crushes him. It's a legal and clean hit according to the rules. But what is the idea there behind the hit? Hitting should be to separate a player from the puck, not to inflict physical damage. Players see a chance to inflict a big hit, if a player is unsuspecting, and they take it.

Its hard to deal our supposed forward depth when we have had 5 forwards out with concussions at some point this year. Just have to battle through this, at least the all star break is upon us. It sucks looking at the Bruin lineup, they've been so healthy all year
- Just5

We aren't there yet. That's all I can say. maybe with a completely healthy full line up, we could match up against the Bruins or Rangers, but not with depleted ranks. And without Pronger we HAVE to replace his presence on the blue line.

But it doesn't have to be done right away, or even this year.

Couturier played 18 yesterday. I think that he stays with Simmonds and read. Voracek might go up with Giroux. Who knows.
- MJL

I'd like to see Jake with Grioux and Hartnell. If the goal is to "replace" Jagr... Jake is more like him then Harry Z. And, no disrespect to Harry... I'd drop him to the 4th line, the lack of speed of both Shelley and Sestito on one line scares me... I've liked what I've seen from Sestito - He's big and not afraid of the going to the net.

Here are Coach Leon's lines.... We've looked pretty bad vs Boston this year. This line up is bigger and tougher than our previous meeting.

Hartnell - Giroux - Voracek
Read - Couturier - Simmonds
Talbot - Schenn - Sestito
Zolnierczyk - Holmstrom - Shelley

I hear you, but Maybe Ed needs to exercise a little patience. Besides a Weber, who are they going to get that can replace Pronger?

More importantly, and I guess Briere is the only one who can answer this. But when did he start feeling poorly? During the game, in the first period, when? Because if he knew he wasn't right, and continued to play, without telling the trainers, then that's a big deal. Because taking more hits after sustaining a concussion seems to make things worse.

And worse...who do you give up to get him...and deal with the fact that Pronger may be back next year. That's a chunk of cap space to eat. we are stuck...maybe a rental. I don't know.

Some real tough decisions to be made. They may not know if Pronger will be able to play in 12/13 by July 1.

That worries me, he did hit and hit often during the game.

Hockey players are warriors and often will attempt to play through pain as we all know, hopefully Briere will be OK soon

Our goalie who is the best goalie in our league by a country mile had a horrid game today, he let in 10 goals and 8 were easily saveable. He has let in 32 goals in 15 games up till today.

Overheard in our room after the game

"Nice game Bryz"
