Holy Christ. I just saw that scar on Taylor Hall's head. WTF.... If they bring back the Munsters, he's the early favorite to play Herman.

That's going to be a nasty scar for life.

That was Rocky on Ice and should have a motion picture made in remembrance of that magical run
- JoeRussomanno

It truly was. They almost deserve half a Cup for it.

Screw that. I wouldn't want a scar that size on my head.

NHL Vault has Game 4 of the 2000 ECF finals. Was indeed a sweet tip by the Chief. I tried to figure out how to extract the video, but NHL.com makes it tougher to do that than YouTube apparently. :/

The biggest heartache for me remains 1987. When JJ Daigneault scored in game 6 I was certain that we were going to win the Stanley Cup. Then when Craven snuck that shot past Fuhr short side in game seven, we were dancing like drunken idiots.

Still hate Seravalling Glenn Anderson to this day

- Jsaquella

i hear you. that still stings. flyers had their chances in the first period, but they just wouldn't go in - after the craven goal. the oilers just shut them down the rest of the way. i blame crossman.

That was a team to admire, no question. My favorite team to date by a landslide.

That team doesn't get enough credit for extending that series to a game 7. They were ravaged by injury, and that Oilers team had I believe 7 Hall of Famers on it.
- PLindbergh31

what's more amazing is that they trailed the oilers by at least 2 goals in all 3 games they won. game 7 was the only game they scored first.

They just said in between periods there is going to be a bidding war between the Flyers and Bruins for Tim Gleason. Bidding war? It's Tim (frank)ing Gleason, not Ray Bourque.

Watching Hockey Night in Canada tonight. They are reporting that the Canes may have some sort of bidding war for Tim Gleason between The Flyers are Bruins. This makes sense to me considering the style both play but I think the Flyers need Gleason a hell of a lot more then the Bruins do. The Bruins need depth, we need to be strong on the blue line every night.

My mind set is this. Shea Weber can wait. Luke Schenn can wait. If Weber gets moved, I think that's an off season deal. If Schenn gets moved, it will be for a team that's giving up on their current stars, like the Ducks. Gleason to me is a guy that could get traded here for something that won't break us and he can sign here for money Carle is already making today. I also think Gleason is worth grabbing today.

Those 2 young guys we want can wait.

I remember my aunt took me and my cousin to watch them play a charity softball game and some of the kids were scared of Hextall. But in person we learned he was a big teddy bear. That group was ultra cool and they are champions in my book.

The quality of the player isn't the issue. It's a bidding war because two teams are interested in the player. That's all it takes.

That is unbelievable. They could have certainly thrown in the towel down 3-1 in the series, team had guts by the boatload.

Let them have him. If Holmgren has to try and start topping offers screw it. Go with what you have.

I guess to replace Corvo?

Right now, if I was Holmgren, I'm leaning towards not doing a Goddamned thing.

probably the right move because whomever he'll acquire will get hurt anyway.
