the cattle run as i called it was awful back then, before they completely redesigned it. it was dark, dank, slick, and smelled like (frank)ing cat piss.
- hammarby31

The old one before they redesigned it, was basically wooden planks, I remember you could see the traffic below looking through the little cracks. I went to a Islanders/Devils playoff game in I think 87 and I remember thinking I'm going to die when this (frank)ing thing collapses onto route 3. I also remember the crowd chanting Burke, Burke, Burke...

Holy (frank)ing poop...I just saw the postgame writeup. Glad they one but damn, looks like Jersey thurned them into a M.A.S.H. unit. Didn't see the game, but it looks like they can add Volchenkov's number to the retribution list with Staios.

And 3-0 in the game. If I was there I would have left when it was 2-0

I said the same thing when it was 2-0 ah screw this, but then I had flashbacks to a 3-0 comeback in game one against the rags in 95 playoffs. Pretty sure it was game 1 of that series.

I bought that game on iTunes so I can watch it wherever, whenever I need some inspiration.

3-0 in a series, and 3-0 on the road in a game 7. I thought it was destiny Joe.

19000 fans screaming and cheering at a screen with nobody on the ice - that's why. i'm well aware of what happened in the series.

I think the Hawks were slightly better. No third pairing and below average goaltending did them in. I'm curious as to what Niemi's save % was in that series. I can't imagine it was good.

i agree. that, and some key players being a -837 combined...but no need to rehash the series again for the millionth time.

niemi's numbers weren't good. his reaction to kane's winning goal was so weird. he just kind of stood there while his teammates jumped on him. maybe he didn't understand the game was actually over.

The biggest heartache for me remains 1987. When JJ Daigneault scored in game 6 I was certain that we were going to win the Stanley Cup. Then when Craven snuck that shot past Fuhr short side in game seven, we were dancing like drunken idiots.

Still hate Seravalling Glenn Anderson to this day

Very strange, his reaction. I knew the puck was in the net immediately even before that tool Kane starting jumping around. I was surprised that Emrick was so confused.

Oh well. Like you said no sense in rehashing that game.

That team doesn't get enough credit for extending that series to a game 7. They were ravaged by injury, and that Oilers team had I believe 7 Hall of Famers on it.

Holy Christ. I just saw that scar on Taylor Hall's head. WTF.... If they bring back the Munsters, he's the early favorite to play Herman.

That's going to be a nasty scar for life.
