Chara played 32:19 today. Have to think his ice time would be significantly decreased from his usual tomorrow
- PLindbergh31

(frank) Chara. Were going to kick their asses tomorrow. Statement game from the Flyers. Boston better come ready to play.

Early in the first clarkson lowered his head and hit briere in the face area with his helmet. Right before briere ended up taking a penalty. HappeNed right in front of me.

Why didn't Briere leave the game then?

Good call, that would be my preference. Might be OK if a forward is coming back. L. Scheen & Kadri for JVR and a 2nd. But my preference is to keep all the forward depth they have. Jagar is looking injury prone to bout.

getting a Gleason & Rutuu combo could be nice too. I would still MUCH prefer to trade picks.

I read a story a few months back that said Briere trains with Hugo Girard who is a Canadian Strongman. I think there was video of him flipping those huge tires. I hear he's pretty strong, just very small.
- Duran76

I'd have to see the video. Were they matchbox tires?

I have a feeling the Flyers will put forth a big effort tomorrow. I'm expecting a win.

I doubt it. He's strong enough that he can do that back to back. Only way I can see him playing less then normal is if the game get's out of hand.

well Briere was playing with a concussion, explains him being lost out there today

so I learnt. Also impressed by Gus. If MAB and Gus emerge as potential second pairing guys this season, do they led Carle walk?

I don't see either as a replacement for Carle. If Carle goes, I hope the Flyers do something else.

Bruins have come back to earth as a team. They have been losing their share of games lately. I just saw the hit by Ference on Mcdonagh, I don't think it was dirty. It was all speed and momentum, not a lot of contact there. I don't think it is suspension worthy.

I honestly don't know what happens with Carle.
I don't think either of those two can replace Carle right now.

I think if they can land a Suter type in the off season then there might not be room for Carle too.

I can't wait for tomorrows game. Nothing will make my Sunday better than watching the Flyers kick the snot out of Boston. Then I hope Baltimore kicks the crap out of the Pats and the fans have a Boston Cry Party tomorrow.

Briere says his off season training with this guy turned his career around, he is small but mighty.

He is a playoff warrior, I never worry about his regular seasons anymore

Well both games are at the same time. I'm going to TIVO the Flyers game, hopefully I have something to watch when I come home. Although if the Giants lose, I won't watch the hockey game tomorrow.

It's just unreal. One after another. How many Penguins have been concussed this year. I know obviously Crosby and Letang. Who else?
- PLindbergh31

Asham, Bortuzzo, Michalek, TK, and Peterson (only played a game for us but still). I think I missed 1 but can't think of who as of now.

Agreed. He comes to play when the games matter the most. During the season he's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

I view Carle, Coburn and Meszaros all as equally skilled players because of age but at the same time bring something different to the table. Carle's puck movement, Coburn's physicality and Meszaros' shot. I wish Meszaros was used more on the PP, even with a healthy line up but it is what it is. I hope the Flyers either re-sign Carle or replacement. Suter could be a solid replacement but at the same time I prefer Weber. However, Weber would only really be here to replace Pronger.
